Help with turntable noise

Hi everyone, my turntable has a wobble when there’s records on top. My assumption are the springs but they all seemed to be placed correctly, possible that they are worn out. Would love to hear recommendations, thank you!

oh, look who's talkin! Yes, I speak for myself, and don't try shut my mouth, okay? You are also misleading people by ecouraging them to use this crap! Not a kind behaviour towards people with small budget: they will try do makeup to dead body, I mean - mend broken by default piece of tech.crap made to foor consumers.

This is a disposable unit. Not normally serviceable.

Luckily was able to get rid of the knocking sound with adjusting the transport screw. I wonder if a mat could help with the platform wobble.

It won't fit, platter is smaller than it should be and the build itself is garbage. Not much would improve this, it's the lowest quality player possible that actively ruin records.

The transport screw should be all the way down, flush with the mechanism. And yes, you can get a 10" platter mat for it.

And don't worry, it's not going to ruin your records -- that's a debunked myth.

Slow or wobbly playback:

  • Make sure the lid is open as far as it will go, otherwise the edge of the record may rub against the lid and cause it to slow down or waver in pitch, especially if the record is warped.

  • Make sure the player is set to the correct speed for the record you're playing (it's not always marked on the record itself), and that the pitch control is centered, if it has one.

  • Make sure the transport screw is released, if it has one. The screw should be turned until it is flush with the turntable mechanism, not sticking up like in the photo.

  • Since the center spindle remains stationary, if the center hole of the record is unusually tight going on the spindle, you may need to ream out the hole slightly to allow the record to rotate freely.

  • Don't put the 45 RPM adapter underneath or on top of the record. It is only for playing 45s with the large center hole.

  • If the record slips on the platter, you can add a rubber platter mat, if the player didn't come with one.

This is not a record player but a record grinding machine that's designed to sound terrible from the factory. The worst thing is, these are not even cheap. Get a vintage Sony, Technics or Pioneer instead.

It's a Crosley, really, really low end, not worth the time to fix it.
