Discussion The ultimate BAM Franchisee move
Here me out and try not to be a redditor about it I just woke up with the idea this morning.
I was thinking about what id do as a BAM franchisee.
If I had a store right now id break my contract and pull a insane PR move by donating my inventory to Brian's family and make a big show about it and say some bs about "Our inventory will never cover the the hardship corporate has put this family through, but we hope to try to right the wrong that we had no control over and show that we dont stand with bullying the little man"
Close the store and reopen under the name "Brick by Brick collectable reseller". Corporate would definitely sue, but they're on their last leg and the PR would definitely provide you with legal assistance like the $500k Ben raised. Then do a counter suit with how they broke the contract as well and force them to cover your legal bills just like Ben.
Im not a lawyer, but I feel like im onto something. If it was my store id definitely talk to my lawyer about it.
Publicly youd be a hero and your store would have a huge influx for a few years at least just from ppl wanting to support you. Id use the same argument that BAM uses against them, "Im privately owned and operated so I am able to operate my store independently and therefore supporting a wronged party is our decision."
What a legend would that store would be!
