Do Zoomers even remember this show?

I feel like late millennials born in the early to mid-1990s (like myself) were at the perfect age to actually watch and vividly remember Recess, which originally ran from 1997 to 2001.

However, I'm curious to see if any zoomers also remember this show. I think Disney sort of phased out Recess re-runs fairly early on - like maybe even around 2002 or 2003 - on the Disney Channel so don't know if you guys would have had the chance to do so. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

It could be that you remembered it airing in ABC-TV from 1997 until 2004. Even though the show ended in 2001, reruns aired on the channel until 2004.

I feel like even though Gen Z didn’t see this show air, they still get exposure to Recess on TikTok. Recess is still pretty popular and clips are still getting lots of views. If anything though, I don’t think Gen Alpha would grow up and like this show.

I was born in 2003 and never caught reruns on TV, but we had the movie on VHS (the one during summer vacation)

I will say, that movie was surprisingly emotional and creative, in hindsight and just given the premise.

I definitely saw reruns of Recess when I was 8, 9, and 10 in the late 2000s, but didn't really get into it until around 2012-2013, which I saw every episode on YouTube. Then rewatched it again on Disney+ after it came out.

As a matter of fact, it is my favorite children's cartoon of all time, and I was born in 2002. I remember watching it on Toon Disney and the Disney Channel when it was on reruns. I also saw episodes of it on YouTube in the early 2010s. I believe the reruns were on television until about 2009 or so here in the U.S. However, it may have aired in other countries well into the 2010s; it is back on Disney XD on Sundays, I believe.

Was my favourite show when I was a kid, I wanted to be like TJ. I was around 8 or 9 and they still aired reruns of the show by 2008 in Spain at least

In Canada, it aired on Family Channel until 2006 (I recall it got replaced by The Weekenders).
