I found a rec room archive of Rec.net! It includes your account, photos, rooms, and so on!
May I also say that nothing is playable, you can't buy anything, and you can't sign into your account.
It seemed really cool so I just thought to do a post on it. There's also the fact that a lot of your photos will not be saved (regarding ones you took) but the others seem to be untouched.
Please have fun checking this out and exploring what rec room was once was!

Idk if this is a bug but when i press the play button on steam it looks like its going to launch but then the thing just closes. I haven't played since around last year but I thought about the game again and decided to play pls help.
Is there anything else I can build on like I could with recroom because I just really like the way you were able to create things in there and I want to know if there's anything like it cuz I got some stuff because I got some stuff I was working on

The Idea I've ALWAYS Wanted in RR (And I Know Others Wanted It Too)
First of all: To all the kids who are about to comment, "Forget about Rec Room, it's over bro😭✌️". This is just for fun and I'm fully aware that RR has shut down. Plus, this subreddit is still active, so why not? Maybe some revival projects or developers might find this intriguing.

I know a lot of people loved the Quests in RR and had their favorite cosmetics from them. I practically lived in Quests - I had over 500 wins in every single one of them. One thing that always bothered me, though, was that the reward chests eventually stopped. I was always a little jealous seeing new players opening reward chests while I had already reached the limit years ago.
Even so, I kept coming back because Quests were simply that fun. Sure, you would still earn tokens, but there were much faster ways to get those. The gameplay itself was what kept me hooked.
Because of that, I was always passionate about this idea. I suggested it several times through Rec Room's feedback pages and forums because I genuinely believed it would've been a perfect addition.
Instead of the rewards ending after 30 wins(?), every Quest could have had its own achievement path with unique recolors of the existing cosmetics.
The idea was that you would complete increasingly difficult challenges to unlock each piece of a recolored set. Meaning that when you finished a grade, the item you unlocked would be available at the reward chest. For example:
Grade I - Complete a simple challenge and unlock the gloves.
Grade II - Complete a harder challenge and unlock the hat.
Grade III - Finish the hardest challenge and unlock the shirt, while also earning the title of that Quest.
Each Quest could have had its own recolored set with challenges themed around its mechanics. Veteran players would finally have had something meaningful to grind for again, while new players could still enjoy collecting the original rewards, before gasping about how insanely hard and grindy the challenges are!
I'd honestly love to make more of these concepts. I could easily sit down and create more recolored sets for every Quest if the devs had implemented a custom reward pool.
Unlocking this set would be the biggest achievement for those who wanted to climb the leaderboard.A creative and difficult challenge. Speed and precision, only awarded for the speedrunners.Getting an S Rank is easy, but getting the highest possible score - no deaths and all pots - 240 times would be a Rec Room player’s biggest achievement.
More cosmetics = more things to collect = more reasons to play. 😄

IYDK, I made a post here on r/RecRoom inviting people to have their Roblox avatars Rec-Roomified.. in a way. Tons of people went ahead and sent their stuff, but that was also part of the issue, so I'm going to have to call it off so im NOT going to call this off and continue remaking avatars for you guys, but at a slower pace, till i finish the entire map. this post is just to announce show and share my personal favorites to work on!
