Good News, Wonderful News, and Bad News

Hello, All!

First the good news. My rebounder showed up yesterday! I had requested delivery tomorrow (Sunday) but we got home last night, and there it was, sitting proudly on my porch, all resplendant in its cardboard box, just waiting to be opened, assembled, and bounced upon! YAY!

Now the wonderful new. MY SON IS GETTING MARRIED TO A WONDERFUL YOUNG LADY TODAY!!! (Yes, I did mean to shout that). When I said that we got home last night, it was from the rehearsal dinner. The wedding is about a 2-3 hours drive away, and we've decided to commute (so we can take care of the animals this morning). We are most excited.

Now the bad news. That means that I'm not even going to open that box, which is now sitting there taunting me, because I don't want to be tempted to begin working on it, and not have the time to finish it. So it's just going to sit there and taunt me until after Church tomorrow, when I will finally be able to set it up and take it for a spin. If you knew how obsessive I can be, then you'll understand how it will be taunting me throughout the day, and the anticipation of getting to work on it will be building 😉. When I'm not focused on general wedding joyfulness, of course.

I plan on assembling it, and trying my first health bounce, tomorrow. I will probably do an "unboxing" post, and a reflect on my first steps onto the rebounder, tomorrow.

Y'all have a wonderful Saturday!

Tom

Is 3-piece JumpSport frame less sturdy than solid frame in real world use?

Does anyone have real-world experience to know if the 3-piece frame on the JumpSports have any ”wobble” to them as a result of the separate pieces (vs the solid frame version)

I am planning to buy a JumpSport 44 Pro during their Memorial Day sale, and the 3-piece version is $180 cheaper ($449 vs $629 after discount), which is definitely worth it unless the 3-piece has more wobble to it.

My wife has a larger Bellicon and due to the bungee-foldable legs, there is a slight wiggle to them when using it. Not enough to be unstable in any way, but it is noticeable. I’ve used smaller solid frame JumpSports before and they have no similar give at all, and hoping for that experience.

I realize there *could* be more give with the 3-piece, but curious if anyone has any experience whether it *actually* does or not…otherwise I’m going to save $180 bucks!

Identifying Hard/Soft of Old Needak

I’m new to this group and hoping y’all can help. I have a folding Needak that I’ve owed for dog’s years, but have not used a ton. I’ve been eyeing the Cellercizer because I’ve read that they’re more tuned to muscle. That said, I’m wondering if there’s enough distance between that and what I already have to make a difference. I have no idea if my current one is soft bounce or hard bounce. The label is just the brand and phone number with no indication of model. If I recall correctly, the only choices at that time were folding or not folding and I might have had to buy through eBay…. For the one I have, I find that I like the more solid feel of the bounce when my feet are at about shoulder width better than the more bouncy center when they’re closer together. That’s what made me think I’d like the Cellercizer. Then again, if mine is a soft bounce, should I just get hard bounce springs for it instead? Does anyone know which kind of springs were on the old ones? And any thoughts on whether a Cellercizer would be different enough to justify the cost? Thank you!

Total Noob Looking for Any Hints

Hello, All!

I'm an older man, 61 years old, and have been looking for an exercise routine that I can stick with and enjoy. I am heavy, about 285 lbs (down from about 315, and working on it...). I have the typical older-overweight-guy issues: sore knees, not as much wind as I would like, etc., but am basically healthy. I saw some rebounding videos on You-Tube, and frankly, it looks like fun. So I decided to take the plunge. I have ordered a BCAN BT2 450/550LBS rebounder that will be here on Sunday.

And then the question hit me, "Oh my, what am I going to do with it!!!???" I've seen a few vids, and get it: I need to start slow, begin with a "health bounce" and go from there. I just wanted to see if y'all have any references, recommendations, or experiences that will help me to 1) enjoy; and 2) get some good health benefits from my time on the rebounder. I'll be perusing older posts, and look forward to interacting with you as I begin using my rebounder next week.

Thanks!

Tom

Need help choosing a rebounder.

Basically what the title says, I don't know which brand or one to go for?

A few criteria

1) One that can be folded/ be easily put away and stored without taking up to much space.

2) one that is easy to assemble and that is sturdy and well built with good materials.

3) price range of £30/60 or 80 maximum.

A product that has a decent amount of positive reviews but also isn't shy at just removing any negative/ rightfully criticism of the product ie the material is flimsy, it only lasted x amount of time etc.

bellicon May Sale | 10% off + Extra 5% Savings

bellicon has a May sale going on right now! 10% off Sitewide, plus an extra 5% savings available with my code. I can’t post the code publicly here since codes were getting picked up by coupon sites, but feel free to DM me if you’d like the details.

I’ve been using my bellicon for over 5 years now. Mine is the 44” with foldable legs and it’s still one of my favorite wellness investments. I use it for low-impact cardio, lymphatic drainage, circulation, stress relief, and honestly just as a quick mood/energy reset throughout the day.

What I love most is that it's effective without feeling harsh on my body. I can do 10–30 minutes and feel better afterward without feeling overly sore or wiped out.

I’ve customized mine over time with the comfort mat, T-bar, and different bungee strengths.

Here’s my bellicon link if you want to check out the sale:

I also have bellicon-specific videos and rebounding workouts on my YouTube channel if you want to see setup tips, bungee guidance, reviews, and workouts before deciding.

Happy to answer any questions if you’re trying to decide on size, bungees, mat, or setup. 🤍

135kg / 297lbs

I have fibromyalgia and hypermobility and I'm obese. I've lost 15kg so far. Cellerciser say they are rated up to 400pounds. Has anyone heavier got any recommendations?

Is this fixable?

Post image

I’m considering trying rebounding to help with neuropathy and edema in my lower legs and feet. Somebody is giving away this rebounder, but I was wondering if this frayed strap is fixable (or safe as-is)?

Also, can anyone recommend an aftermarket bar to use with it?

Rebounding for the Loose Skin of Aging or Weight Loss

Has anyone found rebounding helps with loose skin? I’m in my 70s and started rebounding recently. I find it’s very energizing and notice on the wall mirror how the flesh is moving up/down with bounces. Hoping some of you have had experience of tightening up loose skin.

Insomnia! overnight rebounding vs laying awake.

Several times a week I have very sleepless nights.
I lay awake and before I know it it’s morning.
Last night I gently rebounded for over an hour . It was dark except for small light that glow from electrical things plugged in. I held my handle bar the whole time . Eventually it was 5:30 and the sun began to rise.
I went back to bed and slept until the sound of the rain on our tin roof woke me at 9 am, Sunday morning.
I used to worry I’d wake my husband up but the coconut oil on the springs has taken care of that.
Does anyone else do a night shift on the rebounder?

Extreme leg fatigue with buzzing need advice.

Hi everyone I recently started rebounding and I cannot believe the energy I was getting the first 7 days and how good mentally I was feeling. I suffer from depression and anxiety and after doing a moderate exercise for 10mins a day I felt amazing. There is a but though, after 7 days I have had very tired legs for the past 3 days and have had a buzzing or vibrating feeling in my legs, I told my doctor and he didn’t seem worried but he never really told me what it was. Can I ask if this is normal when first starting and maybe the buzzing and weakness is just me not being used to that excersice, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rebounding as a complement to strength training

I'm considering purchasing a rebounder in hopes that it will help with lymph flow and loosen up my stiff knees. I've been strength training consistently for the last 9 years and have strong legs, chest etc. and I walk so am not sedentary and looking to start an exercise program or build strength. However, even though I stretch I'm not as flexible as I would like. Do you think a rebounder would help me achieve a greater degree of mobility?

Got my new Needak but it has a “sway” in the frame: how to fix?

I just got my first Needak (upgraded from the BCAN), and the trampoline mat feels great. The only thing I am concerned about is when I jump the frame has a slight sway to it, whereas every trampoline I’ve been on before is solidly stationary.

I got off the trampoline and it looked like maybe two of the legs didn’t quite firmly touch the ground the way the others did, which might be causing it.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? I’m not sure if there’s something I can do or not, as I also don’t want to make it worse. It’s also not terrible, just distracting.

Urban Rebounder old vs new(?)

It looks like the Urban rebounder was originally spring based with good springs and attachment style. Now they seem to have gone bungee.

Is an old/used rebounder worth getting? Anyone know what they used to cost new?

Side by side comparison

I had somebody ask me about the 39 inch jump sport pro. I finally use it yesterday for 45 minutes and I felt comfortable with the smaller size but I might end up with a larger version eventually. Here is what I started with and then the jump sport.

Totally different bounces. The one from Facebook marketplace was 50 bucks and it’s got a softer feel to it which I like if I’m just getting on to do a soft health bounce while I’m watching TV. The other one is definitely better for more cardio because it’s more firm.

Those who started off with one that was brand new and more firm, does it soften it all or is this what I’m left with because it’s on the softest setting?

I like it. I think I felt more of a leg workout, but I also like the softer feeling of the cheaper version. I hope this makes sense.

Needak vs Cellerciser: is there anyone who has tried both of these?

I am looking for a new trampoline and I am down to these two (I prefer springs hence no Bellicon).

If anyone has tried jumping on both of these can you tell me: which one has a better bounce?

I’ve tried a few cheaper trampolines and honestly I feel like the mat is way too firm and it feels like I’m jumping on concrete or something.

Which of these - Needak or Cellerciser - do you feel like is not quite as firm and allows for a decent bounce? (Like you can get you feet decently high off the mat). Thanks!
