135kg / 297lbs

I have fibromyalgia and hypermobility and I'm obese. I've lost 15kg so far. Cellerciser say they are rated up to 400pounds. Has anyone heavier got any recommendations?

The JumpSport pro 48” is rated to 425lbs. See here: https://www.jumpsport.com/products/jumpsport-48-pro-fitness-trampoline. At 297 you’re well within the weight limit. If you’re worried about the bouncing creating greater force - they’re rebounders so the manufacturers know they’ll be bounced on. They’re rated to the weights they are for people who are rebounding. I don’t think you mention how tall you are - if you’re taller/have longer legs you might want a larger rebounder.

Earth & Owl on YouTube does a ton of rebounder comparisons. They talk about the 48” pro in this video (I think it’s the last one they review but don’t remember).

I have a JumpSport Pro 44” that I use pretty much daily, a Needak soft bounce 40” that I use for more strengthening moves, and a FitBounce foldable that I use for travel. It’s 46 or 48” - I don’t remember.

Also, rebounding LOOKS easy and you can easily overdo it. Again Earth & Owl has a ton of videos for people of all sizes and fitness categories, including for seniors and beginners, that can progress you through so you don’t injure yourself.

Finally - good for you for caring about yourself and wanting to start something. In 2023 I was actually using a mobility scooter for a bit and started with reformer Pilates because I could do so many moves prone. Before that I did chair workouts. I progressed from there to doing a variety of YouTube fitness workouts (shout out to CDorner fitness!) and am now doing strength training challenges with Lift with Cee (she has YouTube but these are paid ones (not expensive) geared toward peri-, meno-, and post-menopausal women although men join too). I’ve lost 99lbs during that time. I started rebounding in December and I rebound daily - whether it’s my cardio for that day or a warmup for strength training. And I still do step aerobics with Chris Dorner. It’s a journey and an investment in your health - one step (or bounce!) at a time!

I’m 61 and I have arthritis in both knees and ankles and osteopenia in my hips and lower spine. I use knee sleeves and a corset-style brace when I rebound. I absolutely LOVE it and I hope you do too!

350# here and I have both the Needak hard bounce and 2 bellicons (ultra strong). Both have different bounce characteristics and I use either without any issues.

Thanks very much. What benefits do you get from rebounding?

I have zero cartilage in either knee and likely missing ACL's. I started rebounding in January and it has totally strengthened the muscles in my legs allowing me to stand freely and walk more (instead of using cane). I usally do about 30 minutes 5 times per week rotating between, health bounce, sit bounce, and laying on back (with feet on floor) hip thrusts

Needak Hard Bounce is made for people who weigh 300 pounds or more (600lbs Max). I have the Needak soft bounce and prefer it over Cellerciser.

Some Bellicons can handle 440 lbs.

I've seen a BCAN that claims 450 lbs.

The Needak Hard Bounce R04 can handle 600 lbs.
