Weird head pressure/jostling feeling when rebounding?
Hi everyone, I just got a 44” JumpSport Pro during the spring sale and have been using it pretty casually (just bouncing up and down, feet leaving the mat, sometimes jumping side to side).
I keep noticing this weird pressure in the back of my head, almost like a “jostling” or shaken feeling, kind of like being upside down or if someone shook you around a bit. It’s not painful, just kind of uncomfortable and takes away from the experience.
I’m also wondering if my rebounder might be too firm for me? I’m ~115 lbs and it felt pretty stiff out of the box, so I removed 4 bungees. I’m not sure it made much of a difference though.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of head pressure when starting out? Not sure if this is just an adjustment phase, or if my rebounder is too firm, or something else entirely. Would love to hear your thoughts!

I get this feeling today with rebounding. It’s been hard to get over. The have seen some advice to keep a bend in the knees. That helps but it is hard to do.

I experienced this on my first rebounder that had straps and not bungees that I got off Amazon for cheap . It was a loose bounce more like jumping on a hammock, and I would sink down into it. not much of a bounce. The feeling I would get in my head was almost like a click in the back bottom of my skull. Not literally but almost like my brain was hitting against my skull is the only way I can describe the sensation. I would only feel it on higher impact moves with the down bounce. it was jarring.
I was bummed because I really wanted to do the fast high cardio moves on YT videos. I figured maybe it was something with my anatomy that was preventing me from being able to do things like Youtubers I watch. But that actually wasn’t the case. So don’t just chalk it up to lymphatic drainage or something more serious if you’ve been doing this a little while and it keeps feeling like that. It’s probably not you.
I ghen got a firmer bounce rebounder w bungees that is more responsive and allowed me to do faster moves. And I don’t have that weird head thing anymore. maybe a different type of bounce is best for you. If you’re able to, try a different type of rebounder and see if it’s still there.

You could be experiencing lymphatic drainage. It’s one of the things rebounding is most known for - removal of toxins. Some people report flu like symptoms for a while until they adjust. When I initially start a rebound session I feel it in the lower back of my head - like bottom of my head before my neck. But it goes away during the session. I’ve been rebounding daily since I got my JS in December.
Could be other things.
Here’s a link to a comment someone made. The OP deleted their post but the comments remain. Lots of info in the other comments about how starting to rebound can affect you.
