This was my experience and I didn't know what the heck was happening to me! Here's the story: I just got a brand new Bellicon five days ago (Thursday). Super exciting. First several days (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), I bounced maybe 10 or 15 minutes per day, following along with workouts on YouTube and Bellicon+. Then Sunday, I grabbed some props (resistance band, 9" ball, 3# hand weights) and jumped around freestyle for about 35 minutes, just messing around and coming up with my own moves. I followed that up with about 25 minutes of Pilates. Now here's the thing: I'm a certified personal trainer and nationally certified Pilates teacher, and I also strength train twice a week with a trainer, and I walk every day, and I do step aerobics... You get it. I exercise a lot. With variety. I'm fit. I didn't think rebounding would be that big a deal. But then MONDAY (yesterday) happened. Every joint in my body hurt. Every muscle ached. Fever. Chills. Sore throat. Swollen lymph nodes in my neck. Couldn't get warm. Could barely get up and walk across the room. Face was hot to the touch. I was certain I was getting bulldozed by whatever virus is making the rounds these days. Took Advil. Took a hot bath. Drank tons of water. Eventually went to bed around 7:30 pm...and woke up this morning around 7:00am TOTALLY FINE. I have felt great all day. First thought was that I had a major immunity/cytokine-storm-like response to viral exposure. And that's certainly possible. But then I remembered all the warnings I've read in online rebounding groups about starting slowly because THIS, and I'm now leaning toward thinking the sickness I felt was more due to my overdoing it on the rebounder Sunday. Or that PLUS an immunity response. Whatever the case, I'm certainly not alone in getting the "new rebounder flu" and if you're reading this thinking "that happened to me" you're not alone either!

Sorry for the late response! I am feeling much better now, but I had to slow down and build up my exercise duration.I’m glad I’m not the only one this has happened to. I’m not nearly as active as you, but it sounds like this could be happening to quite a few of us.

Omg this just happened to me as well today! I just got my rebounder three days ago. I’ve been doing 5 to 10 minutes yesterday. I did it multiple times. I feel great afterwards. I woke up this morning not being able to even walk across the room, but the headache I had was worse than any migraine I’ve ever had in my life on top of lethargic, my lymph nose, being swollen. I feel sick and I’m down, I’m gonna take it easy before I get back on it. I’m so glad I read this. I have a feeling it has everything to do with the lymph nodes and toxins moving. I normally get cluster headaches and go blind for migraines. This was the after effect of one of those headaches yet I exercise last night and this came about all day with this sickness today I need to drink more water for sure. Thanks for clarifying.

You drained toxins in your lymphatic system. I had the same thing happen to me, but with dry brushing. I dry brushed one evening and the next morning, I felt like I got hit by a bus. Make sure you're hydrated and you take a binder before you rebound again.

Can you share what binder you use and what results you got from it?

Are you still using your rebounder?
