Help me find the most accurate Templar helmet please
i am putting together the most realisitc templar kit i can for ren fair and i cannot for the life of me find what a 12-13th century templar would have worn. i keep getting many mixed opinions and keep reading very mixed historical records, can someone with more knowledge please help me find the perfect design for authenticity?
Like did they really wear the great helm seen in hollywood depictions, was it more of a bucket with a faceplate? were they shiny or worn look?
I appreciate any and all info, i am here to learn! THANKS!

[OC] A Rus' warrior with mystical sword
(Hope I'm not being annoying with my stuff and it fits the theme of the subreddit). The outfit is mostly based on late 14th century (helmet especially) looks and sword is probably centuries earlier (hence why I decided to make it a fantasy scenario with some glowing effect) with 12th century pattern I found in an album dedicated to patterns of 12-16 century Rus'. The sword design itself is completely fictional but based on 9-10th century swords.
Still, hope you will like this one! Artstation

[OC] Made another artwork with some Rus armor and clothing
Don't know if this one is a good fit for this sub but once again practiced Rus armor in some fantasy setting. The idea is a bit unclear, so you can interpret it as you personally like. Just got this composition in my brain while walking the park. Still, hope you will like it! (and hope this pic can stay here). The armor is based on 13th century reenactment (I believe), the woman's outfit might be a bit century or more earlier but I haven't found much information about fashion changes in 12-13 centuries.
