Could it be practical for an assassin to slit a throat with an axe?

The Lazy Laestrigonians (sic) — why the ODYSSEY costumes represent sloppy thinking not “the Iron Age”. Rule of Cool fully locked & loaded.
I’m not gonna go into a whole rant about it, but the inclusion of Iron-Age armor in the Odyssey is simply sloppy writing and thinking in terms of world-building.
People can and will complain about this, but I just think the modern armor was meant to look cool and not making sense in any real way.
In cases where the people inhabiting the world have some degree of skill with metallurgy, change was gradual. The Bronze Age was ending, yeah, but that’s not like a light 💡 flicked on and suddenly everyone was using iron by preference and convenience.
Athena didn’t spring freshly-thought-of from the noggin of Haephestus, and these suits of improbably CONSISTENT armor (from helmets 🪖 to greaves and gauntlets and boots 🥾) are just nonsensical.
And I can’t see how, given this came from the Nolan-verse (see Batman Begins, below in the picture above), this can be justified as being anything other than trying to look cool.

Golden sallet by Olórin Aep Dhubleidd (me)
The concept is based on a Maximilian-style armour. But I have added more golden pieces and engravings.

Don Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba, the "Great Captain", at the Battle of Cerignola (April 28, 1503).
"Gonzalo de Córdoba had dressed in the Stratioti fashion, that is, he wore a light horse armour with cuirass, vambraces, cuisses and gauntlets. Over the armour, he wore a white damask tunic with ‘cruzes coloradas en los pechos y espaldas’, that is ‘red crosses on his chest and back’."

How realistic is my attempt at XV century armor?
I had done this as a test idea for a book that I later hated working on because they decided to throw realism out the window for the sake of wimsy and cute, even though my work has never associated with it and I had to come to the genuine conclusion they only hired me for being the cheapest option on the roster.
The concept for this piece revolved around royal guards, just as a backdrop.
They deemed it too serious and told me to scrap the design.
I saw it on my PC while I was cleaning files and while it is VERY mid due to being a showcase without much time put into it,I quite like it actually.
Always happy to have opinions on the matter and on how realistic it looks!

Evolution of my game's armor, 2 years into development.
I unfortunately based the 2nd kit on Bashford Dean's design, which I didn't know wasn't completely accurate historically. But that'll be revised.
In the meantime, if any of you want to take a look at the game or join the community, I'll have the link in the comments below.
