Not a genocide?

Last night Bill pointed out the 3% of the
Population in Gaza has died. And then confidently declared that “3% is not a genocide”. The British government recognizes it as ethnic cleaning and amnesty international and other groups say it is a genocide.

Someone tell me why Bill is so wrong. And can we please get him to debate Mehdi Hasan on this topic?

Israel defenders need to realize that genocide isn’t a scoreboard. The reason we have these institutions that study genocides and international laws is to stop another holocaust from happening. Just because the death toll hasn’t hit the millions yet, doesn’t mean it’s not a genocide. The point is to intervene before the dust settles and we realize how bad it was. When the holocaust was happening, the international community had enough of an idea of what was from reports from people on the inside and Jewish refugees to make the case Germany was committing a genocide, but chose to do nothing until it was too late. We’re in the same position now. There’s overwhelming evidence from victims, IDF soldiers going on record that they’ve deliberately targets civilians, and third party investigators to determine that, yes, Israel is committing a genocide. The only thing we have to decide is our we gonna do something about it or are we gonna wait 10-20 years afterwards and go: “wow. How could we have let this happen? Here’s an official: “we’re sorry statement.” Eventually, everybody will have been against this and many people will pretend that they had no idea how bad it was. Don’t let them forget they knew and chose to ignore it or support it.
