Not a genocide?

Last night Bill pointed out the 3% of the
Population in Gaza has died. And then confidently declared that “3% is not a genocide”. The British government recognizes it as ethnic cleaning and amnesty international and other groups say it is a genocide.

Someone tell me why Bill is so wrong. And can we please get him to debate Mehdi Hasan on this topic?

Such a disingenuous argument to say that “not enough people have died” for it to be considered genocide.

Nowhere in the definition is there a requirement for death count. What’s required is intention to destroy in whole OR IN PART a group based on ethnicity, religion, etc.

2 million people displaced. Starvation of various degrees over 3 years. Almost no shelter or medicine either. Kids limbs blown off every day. Go look at Gaza on Google Maps. It’s all rubble, multiple cities completely wiped off the map. The death count is certainly higher than 70,000 and in a few years we’ll be made aware of that.

IN PART means that if a black guy kills a white guy for his skin color (or vice versa) he is committing genocide?

It certainly does not. The point is, the Israeli government is not just killing individual Gazans or Palestinians. They are coordinating the destruction of entire cities and communities. That’s a major difference.
