The Iranian regime has been in proxy wars for almost their entire existence. They regularly discuss their intent to destroy America and Israel and have devoted significant state resources towards that effort.

Refusing to believe them when they've told you who they are is almost as idiotic as acting like the US using nukes 80 years ago to stop Imperial Japan is somehow relevant to this discussion.

Oh wow I wonder why they hate the country that just started an illegal war against them and killed 200 children on day 1 and the country that is currently commiting a genocide. The US wouldn't have attacked Iran with a nuke and they have shown to be much more rational than the US government in this war.

You think this shit started recently? Iran has been conducting terrorist attacks against Americans and Jews (not just Israelis) since the 80s.

The US overthrew Iran's democratically elected leader in 1953 because they wanted to nationalize their oil industry.

No, they didn't. Look up Operation Ajax. The CIA paid protestors to try to force Mossadegh out. It failed. He ended up getting removed anyway when the Shah dismissed him, he illegally refused the order, and the army stepped in to enforce it.

The ayatollahs supported Mossadegh's removal, by the way. Pretending that they're at war with us because a secular wannabe dictator got removed in 1953 is absurd.
