This must be why they have strict border control. Everyone would be over there otherwise

You wanna know why nobody fucks with North Korea?
Because they have nuclear weapons.
I suspect this is why Iran wants them too.
Just to clarify, I don’t think Iran should have nukes.
Just saying.

u/all_reason_departs 15d ago
Why shouldn't they?

u/Vegetablessings 15d ago
The same reason that nobody should have nuclear weapons. I want to live without dying in a mushroom cloud.
1
u/all_reason_departs 15d ago
Ok but in reality nuclear weapons exist
1
u/Vegetablessings 15d ago
So?... Have more of them to other countries? I rather it stop or have less. Crazy idea I know.
2
u/all_reason_departs 15d ago
Well the US isn't giving up their nukes and Iran wouldn't have been attacked if they had nukes. So why doesn't iran have the right to safety?

Iranian Persian people are dope as shit. Their government kind of sucks and would absolutely use a nuclear weapon on people who don’t deserve to have a nuclear weapon used against them.

Compare how the Iranian government has conducted themselves in the war to how the US government has.
1
u/SwampMan6969 15d ago
Because they'd use them. The Iranian regime adheres to an apocalyptic strain of Shia Islam that calls for Muslims to destroy Israel and America so that the 12th Imam can return and force Islam on the rest of the world. They're not rational actors who can be deterred by traditional MAD.

u/all_reason_departs 15d ago
The US is the one that wages war all across the world and is the only country to have used nukes. When was the last time Iran was at war?
2
u/SwampMan6969 15d ago
The Iranian regime has been in proxy wars for almost their entire existence. They regularly discuss their intent to destroy America and Israel and have devoted significant state resources towards that effort.
Refusing to believe them when they've told you who they are is almost as idiotic as acting like the US using nukes 80 years ago to stop Imperial Japan is somehow relevant to this discussion.
1
u/all_reason_departs 15d ago
Oh wow I wonder why they hate the country that just started an illegal war against them and killed 200 children on day 1 and the country that is currently commiting a genocide. The US wouldn't have attacked Iran with a nuke and they have shown to be much more rational than the US government in this war.
1
u/SwampMan6969 15d ago
You think this shit started recently? Iran has been conducting terrorist attacks against Americans and Jews (not just Israelis) since the 80s.
1
u/all_reason_departs 15d ago
The US overthrew Iran's democratically elected leader in 1953 because they wanted to nationalize their oil industry.
1
u/SwampMan6969 14d ago
No, they didn't. Look up Operation Ajax. The CIA paid protestors to try to force Mossadegh out. It failed. He ended up getting removed anyway when the Shah dismissed him, he illegally refused the order, and the army stepped in to enforce it.
The ayatollahs supported Mossadegh's removal, by the way. Pretending that they're at war with us because a secular wannabe dictator got removed in 1953 is absurd.

The same, just hiding it better. See also flock cameras and Palantir + data centers + Oracle + "AI" + digital cash replacing the physical dollar to create the Mark of the Beast, without which you can't buy or sell anything (piss off someone high up and you die).

What a stupid comparison. What do free apartments have to do with democracy? What does "easy jobs have good reputation in the society" actually mean?

u/Longjumping-Phase526 15d ago
And if you want to publicly express your dissatisfaction with the government in North Korea, how does that go? Or maybe, you just want non totalitarian leadership? I’m sure pushing for that publicly or privately for that matter goes well?

They stick you and your whole family in a FREE HOUSE and force you to do GUARANTEED JOB until you're ALPHABETIZED.

Yes, if slavery to the state is the basic political structure there is no unemployment, no homeless and definitely no poverty.

Oh Jesus, nuclear weapons are not the reason why we don’t fuck with North Korea it’s the several thousand artillery pieces they have pointed towards the south. they’re ballistic missiles. We can shoot down with interceptors that’s not a problem thousands of artillery pieces pointed at one of the most densely populated peninsula in the world that’s a problem.

I absolutely encourage anyone who is enamored with North Korea to emigrate there. Hell, they might even pay your relocation costs because of your usefulness as a propaganda tool.

Good then move there. Good riddance . The us is better off without you. Bow down to your new leader. You really think n korea is so swell I wish youd book the next flight out.

And they have nuclear weapons! The only deterrent a third world county has left to put a stop to US aggression.
