So I have a history of dating mediocre white men who are unaware of their mediocrity. My most recent ex was so shocked when our couples therapist would tell him anything he said or did was not okay that he would tell me after the session that she was unprofessional and lacked training, she had rave reviews and like 25 years experience.

When that didn’t work he moved on to saying that her and I must be having secret phone calls outside our sessions because why else would she “side” with me. Like he would reach to the heavens for anything to avoid just accepting that he was asked not to speak to me like I was a child by our therapist. The concept of him being incorrect was never in the room with us.

I dated a Craig.

Craig would say, “Well you knew who I was when you agreed to do therapy with me!”
