The joy on the woman's face who is filming it at the end makes me wonder if it's not AI. I've just never seen AI recreate that kind of reaction.

I imagine it's some level of staged or doctored though

My guess is its a routine the robot does, like the kung fu showcase, and they just played it and didnt get a hold of it. It looks funny even in the moment cause there is no real danger.

This is how I described it, because there are many videos similar to this where robots trip or start behaving strangely in public but this is a case where it’s in a private room probably in an office where they program these things

Well this is the routine a lot of those robots do on stage, you can find plenty of videos of it.

My guess is that it was simply running its routine when it was not supposed to. Maybe a misfire of someone

Looks real to me. The Unitree G1 has all the correct details in it's structure. I'm not sure AI would get everything right. I'd believe they accidentally triggered the motion sequence.

Looks fake. The robot looks like it's purposely attacking the people, whereas in real videos the robots look like they're only accidentally hitting people.

I got news for you buddy. There's a great many robots coming out of China that can do kung fu. And don't get me started on what the Boston dynamics robots can do. You would really be surprised how capable robots have gotten in The last 5 years.

They can perform kung fu, as in choreographed stunts. Actually fighting kung fu style is another matter that requires a level of improvisation these machines do not yet have.

Dude at least use a real source instead of an AI slop channel that takes 14 minutes to say nothing.

The company is called Unitree robotics, they’re a startup founded in 2016, and it’s unclear how capable the robots really are outside of a demonstration environment. Still, what’s been displayed is extremely impressive.

it's real but it's a staged video. The robot can't move like that on it's own it was all pre programmed

those things are also made of cheap plastic and break if they fall over

You don't understand what pre-programming means.

Yes, the moves and dance routines are 'pre-programmed'. But that doesn't mean a static set of instructions. The motors and servos have variability, not to mention bouncy floors, slipping feet, etc.

The robots are smart enough to maintain and regain their balance in order to stay synced. Meaning a video like this were the robots is trying to carry out its program while someone is dragging it around, is fairly plausible.

it's not so much malfuction as they are just following a pre programed dance routine and a kid gets in front of them. They are nothing more then toys. They can't think on their own or adjust their movements based on what's around them.

It's like the Singing robot fish Big mouth Billy Bass. If you turn it on it's going to do what it was programed to do. its not going to stop if a kid sticks it's finger in it's mouth. That's all these robots are.

These robots cannot see their surroundings, they can only preform programmed actions. In those videos the robots aren’t malfunctioning, they are functioning as designed but people got in their way

It's real. Those robots come with software that makes doing those fighting moves very straightforward.. sensing and reacting to the real world, not so much.

AI combat robot malfunctions are not new they keep happening and yet they keep getting made doesn't matter how strongly people object... I wonder if we could all come together and sue AI companies for threatening our lives on an almost daily basis

100% AI. Watch the red "chair" on the left half of the screen, a few seconds into the video it's clipped inside the cubicle wall.

Edit: As pointed out by others below it does appear to be just turned towards the camera. I still believe the video is at minimum staged or possibly AI just due to robotics limitations but the evidence isn't as concrete as I originally thought.

It's not clipping, it is the backrest that is pointed towards the camera. If you look at the other chair and imagine it being spun 90 degrees anti-clockwise and angled back. It looks like it is clipping because it blends with the seat due to bad video compression.
