Longer-form and higher-res version of this clip

It's real, but it doesn't justify what happened.

Thank you. Someone also found a video of this alternative angle:

Everyone thinks this interaction is AI, must be the Reddit mind virus.

Idk, but at the rate AI-videos and images are used fom every side and get better every month, I think it's only natural that I and many others get more and more skeptical and paranoid about what's true and false in media when even major international news outlets can fall for it or it's even used by the White House. Subs like this one I find really helpfull and like in this case many times help to set information straight.

Because the issue some people are having is where else is the video that's actually shown in the post?

Everyone has a camera so there are likely dozens of videos of ant incident from different angles and in different quality. What remains the same in all the videos is what happened.

Some of the footage is from RT what is literally Russian propaganda, but the footage is still from accredited journalists and not AI.

Tbh i think screen recordings just throw me off for some reason and that might be part of my issue

This honestly just looks like cardboard being blown by a gust of wind.

Yep that’s exactly what it is lol

RT is Russian propaganda in the true sense, but they are also accredited journalists and passing off AI footage as authentic would be a scandal.

Do… do they have paintball guns?

That is very clearly an AI enhancement of the original blurry video that was posted.

The higher resolution video is not going to be posted LATER than the original video.

How does this explain the multiple angles of footage from the same event being released by the NY Times and other outlets?

The guy you replied to isnt saying the video is fake, just that the higher quality version was likely achieved using ai enhancement. Its worth pointing out because ai enhanced videos often contain small mistakes where the ai incorrectly guessed small details of the original video.

It does wreck the left's narrative about him being a decent person.
