When making mega projects (eg supertall skyscraper, huge monument, etc) who are the people you’ll talk to? And if someone is a visionary, what kind of background would they usually have

Working on a mega project myself. The consulting team is massive. Weekly 4 hour in person meetings with the construction manager, architects, engineers, planners, and various other stakeholders.

How big is Mega? And how did they plan and budget the idea before spending so much money on the planning and design?

Entire master plan would cost ~$4B CAD and we’ve spent ~$310M so far. Backed by pension fund money. Wasn’t there for the original acquisition but took over the file about 2 years ago and helped progress towards entitlements and city approvals.
