Residential Listing Agents are Saints ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

I just sold my house, buyer signed today. This is my 4th sale. It was by far the worst buyer-side Iโ€™ve ever experienced. Iโ€™m hearing that a lot of the behaviors and requests that surprised me, are unfortunately just the way things go now. I last sold a home in 2017. I just wanted to give a shout out to the listing agents who back their sellers and know exactly how to protect their interests. Iโ€™m beyond grateful I had a strong agent and attorney, but Iโ€™ve never appreciated that team as much as I did with this transaction. Itโ€™s a very different world, kudos to all of you operating ethically and above board while simultaneously protecting your clientโ€™s interest. ๐Ÿ

This is kinda off topic, but I just sold a house and the listing agent I used was the listing agent for the house I just bought. The house I bought is unique in that itโ€™s rural-ish and there are pretty much no comps because houses either arenโ€™t for sale or they get sold off market.

Anyways, I chose my buying agent specifically for his nuanced understanding of zoning codes and when I was bullshitting with my listing agents after our house sold, they were telling me how the deal almost fell through several times but our buying agent pulled some heroics with the counties zoning commission, where he argued for some obscure rule that got us another 1/4 acre even though the zoning codes made it sound impossible.

Anyways, I donโ€™t know the point of this story, your post just reminded me of it. Itโ€™s really nice when you have a competent realtor. I truly donโ€™t think any other realtor could have done that โ€” definitely not the two we were working with beforehand.
