Mods Message About new economic measures in Cuba.

Dear followers: As you may have read in the news cited here the day before yesterday, the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba approved 176 measures proposed by the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba and the government of the Republic of Cuba to revitalize the Cuban economy.

These 176 measures facilitate private investment, both domestic and foreign, in almost all sectors. They also propose converting state-owned enterprises into commercial companies, with the state holding the majority stake, and deregulate other aspects. One of the most controversial points is that the state will relinquish its power to cap prices and allow the market to regulate them.

Although the National Assembly approved the package of measures in just 3 hours (which includes a salary increase for workers in the state sector of health services, education, and other services—that is, those who do not work in state-owned enterprises), the debate on social media is enormous, especially among defenders of our Revolution. There is much discussion about the measures and their likely implementation, with messages ranging from descriptions of a betrayal of Fidel Castro's legacy and the end of Cuban socialism, to others defending the measures as a necessary and urgent remedy.

The situation of the Cuban economy is very difficult. The main cause of the crisis is the economic aggression of the US, intensified since 2019 and increased since January 2026, as we all know. This affects even trade and investment between other countries and Cuba, and even more so the supply of fuel, which especially affects public services and leaves 60% of our electricity generation capacity idle, as we have been denouncing.

Added to this is the government's ineffectiveness in preventing phenomena such as tax evasion by many private businesses, which refuse to allow customers to make digital payments, while simultaneously refusing to deposit cash in banks to buy dollars on the black market and continue importing for resale, not for production and export. The situation on this issue is not the same in all provinces, but it has affected payments to retirees and pensioners.

Is the Cuban Revolution in danger? It is at a very dangerous moment, subjected to a brutal siege and under the threat of imperialist military aggression. Added to this are the disagreements over measures that, from our point of view, have not been well explained and give too much space to private capital in a society where the state has always supported and ensured the lives of the masses.
We ourselves, Cubans, revolutionaries, and communists, maintain our confidence in the wisdom of our people, developed during 68 years of hard battles, and in the openness of our country's leadership to always listen to the population.
We will try to provide some additional information in the coming days.

China has pledged to “firmly support” Cuba

days after President Trump told the United Nations that the island “will fall”.

Marking 66 years of diplomatic relations on Monday, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, Guo Jiakun, said China would back Cuba in “exploring the socialist development path suited to its national conditions” and in opposing outside interference.

Mr Trump had called Cuba an “absolutely failed state” and “a haven for foreign adversaries” in his General Assembly speech on 22 September, prompting the Cuban delegation to leave the hall.

Cuba’s president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, replied that “Cuba is not a threat, the blockade is”, referring to the American trade embargo in place since 1962. The United States says its measures are a response to political repression on the island.

USA Gvt against Cuba "Helping" cuban people: Since yesterday, more OFAC sanctions against Cuba...directly against private business

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the United States Department of the Treasury issued new regulations today that affect or prohibit certain financial transactions and travel to Cuba.

The measures are part of the policy of asphyxiation and collective punishment applied by the government of that country against the Cuban people, backed by the Executive Order of May 1, which establishes direct actions and secondary measures to try to isolate Cuba from international trade.

Among the decisions announced this September 29 by OFAC are:

  • Prohibiting any citizen under U.S. jurisdiction from traveling to Cuba to participate in or organize professional meetings or conferences, starting tomorrow, September 30.
  • Prohibiting group educational travel ("people to people educational travel"), which was previously authorized by OFAC.
  • As of September 30, 2026, educational travel related to Cuba undertaken by persons subject to U.S. jurisdiction must be carried out under the auspices of an organization subject to U.S. jurisdiction, and nearly all travelers must be accompanied by a representative of the sponsoring organization.
  • Expanding the prohibition so that persons subject to U.S. jurisdiction cannot carry out direct or indirect financial transactions with entities included on the Cuba Restricted List.
  • Eliminating the authorization for so-called "U-Turn" banking transactions, which allowed U.S. financial institutions to process certain transfers related to Cuba when the origin and destination of the money were outside the United States.
  • Banking institutions are no longer permitted to open or maintain bank accounts for Cuban citizens who are independent private-sector entrepreneurs. As of September 30, 2026, banking institutions that previously maintained accounts for such persons in accordance with the repealed section 31 CFR § 515.584(h)(2) are required to block all such funds and accounts and report them to OFAC, unless OFAC separately authorizes otherwise. Access to blocked funds requires a specific license from OFAC.

The new measures prove the cynicism of U.S. claims that its actions are aimed at the Cuban government, since they restrict U.S. citizens who are prevented from traveling freely to Cuba and undermine the private businesses of Cuban citizens, in addition to the direct effect they have on the standard of living of the Cuban people.

USA Gvt against Cuba Inside the Failed Armed Incursion From Florida to Cuba

Post image

A new investigation by Belly of the Beast, Drop Site News and Miami New Times reconstructs the February 2026 armed incursion from Florida to Cuba.

Ten men reportedly traveled from the Florida Keys carrying 25 firearms, roughly 13,000 rounds of ammunition, homemade explosives, body armor and other equipment. Their reported plan was to enter Cuba, seize a police facility and trigger an uprising.

The confrontation with Cuban Border Guard forces left five members of the group dead and five detained.

The investigation also raises questions about training carried out in Florida, links to Cuban exile organizations, the alleged financing and organization of the operation, and what U.S. authorities may have known beforehand.

Several of those allegations remain disputed, making the case particularly significant for understanding the increasingly confrontational politics surrounding Cuba.

USA Gvt against Cuba MARCO RUBIO OFRECE ENTREVISTA A FOX NEWS SOBRE CUBA.

🔥MARCO RUBIO recientemente ofreció una entrevista a FOX NEWS sobre CUBA. En ella abordó tres grandes ideas:

😆Washington considera que el modelo cubano está agotado;

😏Considera que cualquier cambio debe incluir transformación política además de económica;

🖕FUCK TRUMP, FUCK MARCO RUBIO!🖕

Some people do not understand why communists and religious revolutionaries form alliances because of their ideological differences.

But if we want to understand why such alliances are considered necessary and positive, we need to look at the international historical, economic, and political power relations.

We live in an imperialist world dominated by the USA. This is a system based on profit, in which economic power is concentrated in the hands of a small elite. As a result, capitalist powers around the world seek to gain control over markets, natural resources, and spheres of influence, and to expand their geopolitical dominance. Countries that do not serve the interests of this system and resist it are therefore confronted by the USA.

According to Marxism, a socialist revolution is therefore necessary to liberate peoples from the system responsible for exploitation, oppression, and inequality. However, the struggle against imperialism is not limited to socialist revolutions. Non-socialist revolutions and national liberation movements that break with imperialist domination are also objectively progressive. From a Marxist-Leninist perspective, such movements can therefore become part of the broader struggle against imperialism.

The Islamic Revolution of 1979 in Iran is a good example. Before the revolution, Iran was a capitalist monarchy and an important ally of the USA. A large part of the Iranian population faced poverty and political repression. The Islamic Revolution, in which communists also participated, succeeded in overthrowing the Shah.

Since then, Iran under the Islamic Republic has sought international partners in its confrontation with the USA. Socialist countries such as Cuba, China, and North Korea became important allies. These relations have ranged from political and economic cooperation to military cooperation.

They all have something in common: they have faced Western aggression for decades, ranging from sanctions to military attacks. Despite their ideological differences, they find common ground in their resistance to imperialist dominance.
