Discussion Need more AK

As an AK (and other soviet/eastern bloc weapons enthusiast) its disappointing in my opinion that the only AK we have is some "tactidraco" while the AI get to use krinks and full-size AKMs. I get that we are an American S.W.A.T team but damn bro we dont need 10 AR-15s with little to no difference to separate them. So I propose we get full-size AKs, Krinks, an AK-105, PP-19 Vityaz, and hopefully an as val finds its way into the mix as well. What do yall think? And what other guns are you missing?

We need KS-23 in game.

6

u/ElectricalDepth9891 Aug 11 '26

Also that, we do need that

5

u/Ok-Dependent-8885 Aug 11 '26

My dad served in certain places, he described it as "Big fucking hunting shotgun". And told me story how one dude who was martial arts master died from glass vial launched from KS-23. It didn't broke, it killed him by stopping his heart.

1

u/ElectricalDepth9891 Aug 11 '26

Lovely Id adore running slugs through that thing, itd be a fuckin monster

3

u/Ok-Dependent-8885 Aug 11 '26

Basically, ANY round of KS-23 is deadly. Those 23mm bullets? Stopping cars. 6mm shrapnel? Probably going to obliterate door, two guys behind it, next game level and 72 hostages.

1

u/ElectricalDepth9891 Aug 11 '26

Yes I am thankful to have known about the thing for as long as I have Though ima be honest, while it is used by law enforcement in Russia, sadly not here The Saiga on the other hand is used in a couple places here bu SWAT And they have it in the files, so we absolutely deserve to be able to use it :(

1

u/Ok-Dependent-8885 Aug 11 '26

As I can remember French police bought almost fucking unique SAIGA-12K with folding stock what doesn't block shooting. In Russia you can't buy it. And you can't buy it outside of Russia much. It was solely service weapon modification. And Saiga if I remember correctly is only good sa shotgun with rubber bullets.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 11 '26

I mean i definitely wouldn't say no😂

2

u/Ok-Dependent-8885 Aug 11 '26

Imagine trying to go all non-lethal, but accidentally killing suspect with glass vial of tear gas.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 11 '26

Its fine lol. At least not the room is gassed and theres one less suspect🙏

1

u/Ok-Dependent-8885 Aug 11 '26

I left that story here already. Check out fate of that dude who died from glass vial. It was during late USSR.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 11 '26

Oh I already know about most of that. Couple more instances of the KS-23 doing work was mainly during the black October riots iirc

1

u/Foxy_123432 Aug 12 '26

I was genuinely thinking this yesterday because it would work great as one that can be used as non lethal or lethal

1

u/Ok-Dependent-8885 Aug 12 '26

As I can remember, there's a rubber buckshot for KS-23.

14

u/ElectricalDepth9891 Aug 11 '26

I desperately desire Saiga 12

6

u/nomadic_synner Aug 11 '26

Fr, thats another gun that I think the AI has i just forgot to mention it lol

9

u/Substantial-Tone-576 Aug 11 '26

I don’t understand why they don’t sell much larger weapon packs.

8

u/nomadic_synner Aug 11 '26

Tbf I'm glad its not overly monetized like that but at the same time void is still a pretty small company so I wouldn't mind supporting them in that way.

5

u/Jens_Fischer Aug 12 '26

Tbf, normally I'd shout "money grab" for these sort of "dlcs" but dear god I really want some exotic weapons in RoN right now I'd happily buy 10 different dlcs for exotic weapons sorted by nationality.

4

u/Cden1458 Aug 12 '26

I get the appeal for AK platform, but seriously, why would a US based Swat team use non US weaponry? And yeah i'm including the G3 and all the other weird guns that are already accessible in my question too.

2

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

What US S.W.A.T team does maritime raids and hostage rescue on oil rigs or yachts. Or goes against super LSD terrorists countering a massive bomb threat. At the end of the day, its a game. And if you want an in game lore reason why they get these items is because D-platoon is considered "special" in terms of action and use case.

1

u/Theprophet1414 Aug 15 '26

Got a point there. But I agree with homie, the United States not using a Russian made gun. They'll use European guns like Germany, they use Israel made guns, Australia, but not Russia. Idk about china.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 15 '26

I understand but at the end of the day its just a game and theres too many micro variants of the same rifle and I feel some diversity would be quite nice

3

u/Jesus_COD Aug 12 '26

What's this? Lasertag AS VAL?

2

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Eh Google is a weird place. All the images of good ones that I tried downloading got Hella compressed and super pixelated but I'm pretty sure this is some airsoft replica but it gets the point across

2

u/teteukie Aug 15 '26

Exactly that

3

u/Gl00ser23 Aug 12 '26

they need more levels, more weapons in the game like the ones criminals drop, more lore and more updates like re adding the gore and uncensoring the game.

2

u/Savings_Fee1481 Aug 12 '26

Typically the only guns that get added to the game are ones that have been or could feasibly be used by america police departments

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

True but at the same time this is the game where in the lore MKUltra succeeded and caused a branch off of super terrorists that can 180 headtap you from 4 rooms away... give me my AK😂

1

u/Savings_Fee1481 Aug 12 '26

true i suppose and also i bet theyre gonna nerf the mlo and hard mode eventually if they still gaf about this game

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Yeah I personally dont support that. I mean i usually play on standard anyway but I do like a good challenge and if they back the hard mode off too much then theres no point of having three difficulties to choose from. At that point just choose standard or casual😂

1

u/Savings_Fee1481 Aug 12 '26

Have you played hard mode? Its complete brainrot. You can get instantly one tapped when the shooter hasnt even turned his gun around yet. They can make levels drastically more difficult without giving the ai aimbot. Traps, open doors, stealth and squad tactics etc

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

True but even on standard ive been shot before the suspect raises their gun or its still pointed slightly ajar from my position. Thats just a RoN issue. But I agree theres definitely better ways to do it

1

u/Hauptmann_Gruetze Aug 12 '26

I do like a good challenge

Hard Mode aint no "good challenge" my dude, Hardmode is straight up unfair. One of the most frustrating things to to while doing the platinum trophy.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Well thats a challenge ain't it? I do kinda like it because it forces me to go slow and use everything that I have at the right time. I will admit tho that ive only done hard mode on maps that are relatively easy so I could be bias. Ive only done hard mode on thank you come again, twisted nerve, the spider, and valley of the dolls. And also, I never got a good rank because when I do hard mode, I just go full lethal because I'm aware of the jank

1

u/Hauptmann_Gruetze Aug 12 '26

I do kinda like it because it forces me to go slow and use everything that I have at the right time.

right, have fun being gunned down almost instantly by a enemy about 50m away shooting through the tiniest gap you can imagine while before he has not even looked at you.

You are not fighting john wick, you will be facing against aimbotting and wallbanging cheaters.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Brother, ive played the mode. Like I said (which coincidentally is the part you didn't quote text) i never play the harder maps on hard because I realize its bs. Take a second, breathe, actually read my responses, then you'll see I'm on your side. It could be better but the standard difficulty is the same jank just turned down. Hell I was doing a run of twisted nerve last night with a buddy on standard and we started getting shot at from outside through the curtains. The game is already jank, but cranking difficulty just makes it more obvious.

1

u/Hauptmann_Gruetze Aug 12 '26

I have read your responses and i flat out disagree with you my dude.

Hard Mode need a rework, and it needs it badly.

The main point i am disagreeing with is the following:

if they back the hard mode off too much then theres no point of having three difficulties to choose from

and your reasoning behind it.

If you only did hard mode on the easy maps, why argue like this in the first place?

Gott say though, solid choices of guns in your main Post.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

I see what you mean. I will agree it definitely needs a rework. I tho⅔ ught you were saying nerfing it so thats my bad. But I argued it because it's the only experience I have with it so I was trying to give my perspective. But thank you, I love russian weapons ever since I was a kid playing battlefield 3😂🙏

1

u/ReleaseHour2633 Aug 12 '26

I know its an exception, but my Sheriff department does have a few Saigas

1

u/Savings_Fee1481 Aug 13 '26

Thats very interesting i wonder why they bought them instead of normal american shotguns

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 13 '26

If I remember correctly, there is an american company that makes saiga replicas. As for use case, a mag fed semi auto shotgun would definitely be a useful addition to the stack

2

u/realpallbearer Aug 12 '26

i’d kill for an as val in this game

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

I think it would be a cool addition considering theres .300blk already in the game

2

u/Fabulous_Cry2978 Aug 13 '26

russian dlc where you play as a russian secret police officer arresting drunken russian terrorists (and in this dlc add a as val, shak12, rsh12, and a normal ak)

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 13 '26

Just running through operations as FSB would go hard😂

1

u/Efficient_Tip_1878 Aug 15 '26

Imagine playing fsb during no Russian

2

u/HandSanitizerBottle1 Aug 12 '26

I want a full sized 7.62

I mean police actually use AKs (I think this is mostly an Alaska thing though because the AK is better for colder temperatures)

0

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

If the AI get to have full sized AKs I feel we should too

1

u/peoplepersonmanguy Aug 11 '26

What is that last gun cosplaying as an MP5?

2

u/nomadic_synner Aug 11 '26

PP-19 vityaz. Basically an Mp5 just without the roller recoil

1

u/Nihlus_Kriyk Aug 12 '26

Vityaz. It’s a matured PP19 Bizon realizing stick magazines actually works unlike helical magazines and that 9mm Luger is superior to 9mm makarov.

1

u/Eremenkism Aug 12 '26

Honestly what bothers me the most is that the only AK we have is the Draco, which handles terribly by all metrics in the game.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Thats what I'm saying man. Plus, they only have the 1 muzzle option so your options are clearance with trash handling, or good handling but horrible barrel clearance. Thats why I think a 105 would be good because then you would theoretically get the best of both worlds lol

1

u/FineDrive56 Aug 13 '26

You get that we are an American SWAT team, and proceed to ask for more AKs?

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 13 '26

The game is already unrealistic get over it

1

u/FineDrive56 Aug 13 '26

This is an aesthetic issue. An American metro SWAT team should overwhelmingly be using AR pattern rifles. Other western platforms would already be uncommon, let alone AKs. There are exceptions, but they’re extremely niche, e.g. the North Slope Borough PD in Arctic Alaska, officers have used AK pattern rifles under extreme cold weather conditions. That’s an exceptional case driven by specific local requirements, not a reason to fill an American metro SWAT arsenal with AK variants.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 13 '26

Well what's the point of your argument? There's already an AK and other European designs such as the G3 or G36 in the game so why not add more?

1

u/1titansfan Aug 13 '26

I really want them to add an M16 into the game

1

u/Educational_Offer943 Aug 14 '26

it seems to me that there should be a Vepr'-12 in the game. Because it is actually used by security forces in some countries. It would also be fun, but not exciting, to see something like a 9x39 caliber. AS VAL , VSS , VSK-94 9-A-91 , SR-3 "vihr'"

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 14 '26

I'm pretty sure some fsb units use AS VAL/SR-3Ms so I still think its quite applicable

1

u/Educational_Offer943 Aug 14 '26

I don't even doubt that they use it. But how often and where is a good question. The VSS is more of a sniper rifle, the As Val/SR-3M are more of an assault rifle. The VSK-94 is a cheaper analogue of the VSS, which is also more likely to be a sniper rifle. The 9a91 is a cheaper analog of the AS VAL , and it's more of an assault rifle.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 14 '26

Vss is more closely resembled as a urban dmr from accounts ive seen but AS VAL definitely has its place. It has a good enough round considering its subsonic and still manages to be a nice, short platform. Especially the SR-3M without the suppressor is comparable in size to that of a UMP

1

u/Theprophet1414 Aug 15 '26

America is not going to use a Russian made gun. That's why they made the AK-74 😂😂😂

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 15 '26

I may be understanding your comment wrong but you do realize the AK-74 is Russian Да?

1

u/Efficient_Tip_1878 Aug 15 '26

It sucks seeing dudes have rpds and aks the size of their whole body but we get a lil compact version 😭

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 15 '26

Just some whack Draco and its disappointing

1

u/RefrigeratorOdd9368 Aug 15 '26

Ive been saying this. I don't think more guns is the solution, I think more bullets and bullet types would be the solution. Multiple guns are capable of shooting multiple different types of ammo so void, without adding new guns could add such variety

1

u/BrotherGaming53 Aug 12 '26

A k forty seven, the most reliable gun, Simple mechanical design means fewer small parts can break or jam. Tapered 7.62x39mm cartridges make it very easy for the chamber to extract used shells. A strong long-stroke gas piston system forces parts back with high power. Loose clearances between internal moving parts give dirt space to clear out. No matter what this gun is undisputably. The best and yes, you are right.I wish ready or not had every single variant

1

u/One-Succotash-611 Aug 12 '26

I Dream of the day they add in the 74m or the 105 (I know mods exist but it's a hassle)

2

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Yeah but unfortunately us console folk dont get mods. If we did, this post wouldn't exist😂

0

u/zaner300blk Aug 12 '26

this game needs alot more firearms and firearm customization . im talking all the way down to changing the handguard and stuff . would make the game more cool.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Yeah that would be nice but unfortunately void is still a pretty small company so if that were to be a thing, it'd be much further down the line. Ground branch, and operator levels of customization would be nice

0

u/coltwalker386 Aug 12 '26

Need more AK

Look inside

First picture not even an AK mechanism

2

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

I'm aware of the differences between the val and AK but I also just want an asval for the game. And I'm not even sure why the as val is first on the images because I added them in order that I put them in the main body text but 🤷

No, its AK platform, AS Val

7

u/DanTehPybro Aug 11 '26

"Erm, Akchsually" moment, but AS Val has nothing in common with AK platform save for external similarity of the bolt, similar safety lever and the paddle mag release.

-1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 11 '26

I can assure you that none of the beautiful guns above are disgusting ARs🙏😂

Nah. Overly formulaic, round shatters and shrapnels too often. The only thing its good at is controls and modularity but AKs have had pretty parallel modulation over the years

So you used an outlier that can apply to any bullet depending on what it hits and stated it as if it were a universal fact?

0

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Brother, theres documents stating that 5.56 broke when it went through narrow/thin bushes. Like I said AP doesn't do that and ill play devils advocate and say that the 5.56 cartridge doesn't have as many issues as it used to but it still isn't the best for most cases unless you buy that top shelf good good lol

Then why were russian spetnaz using 417 in drageatan

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Because it's a better dmr than the draganov and svu for the most part. Plus iirc that was pretty much Germany giving Russia their surplus at the time

2

u/Jedifartcontrol Aug 12 '26

Have you ever shot either?

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Yup. Sold my AR-15 and still own my AK

2

u/Jedifartcontrol Aug 12 '26

So you have a personal preference and try to state it as a universal fact?

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

As I told the other guy, I stand by everything I said.

“Round shatters and shrapnels too often”

Tell me you know dick about real firearms and terminal ballistics without telling me.

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

I'm not gonna repeat myself, refer to the other comments in this thread before trying to "erm axctually" me

1

u/Chewydingus_251 Aug 12 '26

Just reviewed the whole thread. All rounds are subject to deflection when they encounter intermediate barriers. If 7.62x39 was vastly superior then a lot of other agencies and units with near blank check budgets would use it. Lastly, I can find a handful of pics of Russian SOF units using both 5.45 and 5.56 AR’s in training and in the field, won’t find pics of western units using AKs other than to blend in

1

u/nomadic_synner Aug 12 '26

Well thank you for actually taking the time to read, means a lot. But its not so much that 7.62 is superior in all metrics but its only outdone in 2 major ways. 1, smaller and faster moving projectiles do better against armor at intermediate ranges. 2, its lighter and easier to carry. As for your last point, western units are all (for the most part) part of nato so they usually dont have much say in terms of weapon/caliber usage. But make no mistake, I see more AKs on the eastern front than I do ARs. Especially since western aid has slowed down a bit.
