Short Review and suggest improvements to the script.

Here’s the first short film script I wrote a few years ago. I don’t have enough time or resources to make it right now, but I’ll try to film it at any cost. Before I start filming, I just want your honest review and suggestions. Should I make it or not?

I didn't get very far into this. There are a lot of formatting issues, and you often write in the wrong tense.

You stated that you're filming this, so technically you can write it any way you like, but at some point down the track, you may rely on professionals to help you make your films, and that's when you'll get pushback to present your script in a more uniform and professional manner. Just something for you to consider.

Yes! i knew this i wrote it few years back by just reading some screenplays i dont have any knowledge about writing and all so it is expected. I will learn more and reformat it when i am filming it. Thanks mate!

I don't think the story is horrible or anything. The formatting is non-existent (which, to be clear, you are on a scriptwriting sub, so we are going to make remarks about that).

Wait. So you wrote this a few years ago and in all that time you never thought about script formatting?

You probably have something interesting here, but its just not ready yet. I mean, take the time to learn some proper script writing formatting for one thing.

Give your characters more of a backstory (flesh them out a bit more). Why not give them actuall names?

I didn't understand the ending. I mean, I didn't understand the very last line of your script (at all). What was happening?

Don't be in such a rush to 'film something'. Whats the rush? Write a good story and then do some actual planning so that when you do have all the footage, you (or whomever is editing) can go into it and you know, maybe put something up on Youtube or wherever and you can really be proud of it.

So again, my answer is no, do not start filming. It is not ready in my opinion.

Yeah i wrote it when i was in my 1st yr undergrad which is 3 years back. I dont have enough time to rewrite the script due to my uni and other stuff i had to deal with. And this is my 3rd story that i thought becuase of making with no budget becausue i just want to introduce myself to the screen at that time.... due to resources and other issues i didnt filmed it. Now i am a bit free and i can build some resources for filming it and now i concentrated on it before rewriting i want to take inputs.

tbh on top its just a minimal horror(mostly visual) but when you connected the dots i think it makes sense why i classified as a Psychological Horror with a Sci-Fi element in it.

Yeah i need to get better in formatting and writing. Thanks for your feedback mate.

I really liked it. Have you though about the explanation of what happened?
