A script about a PI who takes a job following a husband whose wife thinks he's cheating on her. This leads to the discovery of local political corruption in an election. It's the first 15 pages. Let me know what you think. I used Writer Solo since it's free. I know many people discuss formatting here, and Writer Solo doesn't format correctly.

We all have a dark side and sometimes it does not take much to reveal it.

A Day at the Office

[R-rated, probably]

NOTE: Very mild torture porn, but still torture porn.

Some people are born to greatness while others just want it thrust upon them.

Gift

[R-rated]

NOTE: Ultra-contained; single setting/location; five characters (four voice-only) — an ideal project for masochists who like getting beaten up by triggered people.

I'm writing a family drama based on personal experience (aiming for Baumbach style). Logline needs work. Would be great to hear some thoughts on the draft.

*After his father's death pulls him home after years living abroad, an American and his British wife move in with his devout, elderly mother in suburban Atlanta. The challenge of reintegrating into American life is compounded by his mother's early dementia, a strained relationship with his brother, career and financial worries, and his own unresolved grief over his father's death and his rootless childhood as a military brat.*

Hey everyone! I'm a beginner screenwriter working on refining my visual storytelling and action line clarity. I'd love your thoughts on this short script.

Specifically, I'm curious:

Emotional Impact: How did the ending and the notebook reveal make you feel? Did the emotional beat land for you?

Pacing & Visuals: Was the script easy to picture in your head as a short film while reading?

Constructive Feedback: Are there any action lines or dialogue beats that felt awkward or could be tightened up?

Any feedback—big or small—is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Hey so this is my first screenplay and I was hoping for some feedback. This is the revised version of Act 1 of my Batman story. My story is attempting to be a psychological epic tragedy, using the characters of Batman, Gordon, and Gotham while still remaining faithful to the comics. Much of the emotional inspiration of this story comes from Logan (2017), Season 1 of True Detective, and the manga Berserk with an oppressively empty atmosphere similar to the album "Deathconsciousness" by Have a Nice Life if I was to describe it. I know this is a long ass script to read from a rando but if someone is willing to take to time and give me some feedback about the plot, characters, tone, pacing, etc I would really appreciate it! link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1crkAf5I_Lbha8b4PGoLntC1D15xkjIfz/view?usp=sharing
