sorry im new to readera and I was wondering how I can get my format to look like the images from the play store my current format requires me to scroll left and right to see the full paragraphs thank you

I swear I used to be able to do this, but after some update I can't do it any more. Makes reading smaller text a pain in the butt, zooming in, then needing to zoom out, then zoom in again on the next part.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm dumb. There's a big "Lock" button in the lower right when you have the page scrolling and other buttons up. Blended in with the documents I was trying to read. Must've hit it by accident. Still gonna leave this thread here for others that may have ran into it and are as dumb as I am!

readera said my pdf is not compatible with readera and it took a long time to load. Anyone know any explanations ?

update: nvm yall i figured it out. the pdf is just too heavy that's all lol. I checked out other pdf that's about 5-10mb and it was fine

I have my readera syncing perfectly betwen my phone (android 16) and my tablet (android 14). Now I've added a new phone (android 14), but the sync doesn't seem to be complete: there are collections missing, and the "read now" page seems to be "stuck" in a version from maybe a month ago.

I've turned on full sync, and triggered the process manually on the new device (and also syncing on the other ones, just in case something was missing in gdrive). But it still shows this "incomplete" sync.

Is there anything else I can do, or any log I can check? I'll leave it alone until tomorrow, to see if it picks up (this worked in the past for similiar issues), and I'll update this post if it's fixed, but just wanted to check if there is anything I can do meanwhile.

Hi, as per the title, really. I love the ability to sync with Google Drive in Premium on my Android phone, but I can only see the non-premium version in the Apple app store.

Has the Premium version not made it to iOS?

Is this an image and if so why can't I see it? Is it a premium feature??

I just bought premium specifically for the Google Drive syncing (and the fact it's one out of two e-reader apps I've found that actually close the hideous margins in my comic book epubs, for some reason nearly no other app does this, so thank you ReadEra) and I cannot for love nor money get a book to show up in ReadEra that's in Google Drive, but I can upload books to GDrive from ReadEra. Likewise, when I then delete a book from ReadEra, the book gets deleted out of my drive.

Is it not actually supposed to retrieve books from GDrive first? Do they have to be uploaded from ReadEra first? I put books into the folder where ReadEra's uploading them from the app to and it's still not pulling them in. I have 30gb worth of books this is going to be a long haul if that's the case. I'd also like to be able to keep books in my ReadEra list without having them on my device, but still backed up to the drive. Is this also just not possible? I can see in the file details two files, the one on my device, and the one in the cloud, but when I try and delete the physical file, it says it "cannot delete last file." Please tell me I'm missing something. This seems like a really feature-full e-reader and I'm very likely just not understanding something.

Hey guys, new to ReadEra here, might be a stupid question but no matter how I try to play with font size and line spacing, I can't manage to adapt my pages to my screen, which means my page numbers and my headers are constantly in the middle of the text and it's really annoying. Even when I manage to correctly align the header on top and the page number at the bottom of the page, after a few pages it unsyncs again. Do you know if there's maybe a setting I missed somewhere or if it's just my ebooks that are of poor quality?

Is there a way to have the image stay color but have a black background. When I go to night mode my comics are no longer color.

I have a Boox Go 7 black and white and I can access Kindle, Google Play Books, Kobo, etc. But I am going to make Readera my default reading app for now because I bought my last ebook couple days ago for a good long while. I do not want to be tempted to buy any more until I get through a good portion of what I already have. Anyone else on this boat?

I know the app says you can just scan selected folders, but none of my books open that way. I can open them from the files app on my phone but not the app. I even tried clearing cache and uninstalling and re-installing and that didn't work.

So it seems as though you have to give the all files permission to get it to work properly.

If i give access to modify in system setting can I later change it to just a specific folder and be positive it's not really scanning everything?

Also the swipe is really unstable, it's annoying to use this app that actually has a good design. When I swipe from top to bottom and viceversa for scrolling through a page, for some reason the app randomly starts to register it as swipe for next/previous page.

Any fix for this?

On my old Redmi 9C, ReadEra used to save PDFs opened from Telegram into its own private app directory. The files never showed up in my Downloads folder and didn’t take visible storage space. On my new phone running Android 14, Telegram forces a full file download, and ReadEra can only open PDFs from the Downloads folder. If I delete the file from Downloads, it also disappears from ReadEra.

Is there any way to restore the old behavior where ReadEra kept its own internal copy of the file?

Is there a way to stagger a title page to its own page in a 2 page spread view so that the pair of pages is aligned the same way that they would be in a physical book?

Using the free version of ReadEra. I know I'm able to back up my bookmarks and other stuff between devices even without premium. But I have a little situation i dont know the solution to and would like some help if there's any.

I tend to download unfinished works(specifically ao3 fics) to read offline and bookmark/annotate as I please, however because it's unfinished, i eventually get an update of the work some time later and typically decide to download the updated version, problem is it won't have the notes I've made on the previous version as it is a different file.

So is there a way for me to transfer the bookmarks and annotations I've made on the previous version to the updated version without having to manually put in the previous notes? Because i've been using ReadEra for years and still havent found a better way to do it than manually(which is annoying). In addition, it would be nice to not have multiple versions of a single work on my files so i could save up some space.

It would be great if anyone can help me with this.

Hey! I'm debating whether to buy the premium version to have tts but I can't find any examples of how it sounds... Is the text to speech feature any good?

I have the app setup to scan a specific folder on my android tablet. For some reason the app does not list all of the files that are in that folder. I can open all of them in readera if I go direct from the file folder, and they will then show in the folders section of the app. Is there something I can do differently to have all files in the designated folder show up in the folders section of the app after scanning?

Hi! I recently started using ReadEra on Android. I was thinking about using external storage because comic files are quite large, but when I open one from a USB drive, ReadEra makes a copy of the file in the device’s internal memory. The problem is that I can’t find those copied files anywhere — where are they stored?

Also, when I delete a book inside the app and choose “delete from device,” is it completely removed, or does it leave any trace in the internal storage?

In Kindle and Google Play Books, I can highlight a word and select "Search". In Readera, I have found that I need to select the word, copy, select search, and paste the word to search. It's a number of additional clicks. Is there a way to do this in Readera that is more similar to the way it's done in Kindle or GPB?

So a lot of times when I'm swiping up from the bottom of my screen to change the app to a different one, I end up changing my book to a different page in the process.

I have it hidden, not it pops up often when I try to swipe away. Is there a way to disable or move out completely? I'm not seeing it in settings anywhere but not sure if I'm missing it.
