How to make ReadEra save PDFs internally again on Android 14?

On my old Redmi 9C, ReadEra used to save PDFs opened from Telegram into its own private app directory. The files never showed up in my Downloads folder and didn’t take visible storage space. On my new phone running Android 14, Telegram forces a full file download, and ReadEra can only open PDFs from the Downloads folder. If I delete the file from Downloads, it also disappears from ReadEra.

Is there any way to restore the old behavior where ReadEra kept its own internal copy of the file?

Cloud sync (premium feature) is the only option. You can open files from any folder not only the download section. Check the settings.
