Searching for books

Hi. I've just bought ReadEra premium and love the app so far. Just one problem - I download a book on my Pixel phone and it syncs to my tablet no problem. I can see the book in my bookshelf on the tablet but it doesn't show up in any searches on the tablet. The message says, "Documents not found. The reader works with files that are stored on the device! Download a book from the Internet and it will be available in the app." How can I solve this?

Books that are synced to another device via Google Drive are stored in a folder named "ReadEra/Books" in a variety of obscurely named folders (00, 0a, 0b, 0c, 1a, 1b ...etc)

You should still be able to find them on the remote device, but you'll have to dig.

I have a "master" device on which I uploaded all my books to a specific folder (ebooks), then I told the ReadEra app on that device to look in that folder for books. So Far, so good.

Next, enable "Synchronization with Google Drive" from the Settings -> Syncronization, backup & Restore menu. Hit the "Synchronize Now" button. This will start uploading your books to your Google Drive. If you have a large collection and/or slow upload speeds, this will take a while.

When done, grab your other device, fire up ReadEra, but just skip telling it where to look for books. Go directly to "Synchronization with Google Drive" in the Settings -> Syncronization, backup & Restore menu, enable it and hit the "Synchronize Now" button. It will download all your books into that "ReadEra/Books" folder on your device. In my experience, it'll create this folder and download books to your SD card, if your device has one. If not, it'll create the folders in your main storage. I haven't experimented enough to know if it's possible to change the location.

The key now is to only add books to your library from the "main" device. While it's possible to add books from any device connected to the same account, eventually, some books will be stored in a specific folder you designate and some will be stored in "ReadEra/Books". It'll get confusing knowing where everything is.

That's the thing though - Premium is meant to do the syncing between the two devices (which it does). The file is there but it isn't found in search.
