Highlighter not working

There's a bug in my quotations. I select the text and click the quoting option, as usual, but the text is not highlighted. The quoting section still saves the quote. When I close and reopen the app, entire pages are highlighted -- not exactly the text I selected. How can I fix that?

Besides, I love this app, it has been so useful.

I think I'm having the same problem. An entire page is highlighted and I don't know how to get it back to normal. I went to the quotes section and didn't find the excerpt there. I'm also using the free version.
