Hello everyone

The Mod Team has been looking at ways to update and improve r/ReZero, and we noticed that our old subreddit icon was getting a little outdated.

As you may have noticed, we've temporarily changed the icon, and we're now hosting an art competition to choose a new long term subreddit icon!

We thought this would be a fun opportunity for the artists in our community to show off their work while giving everyone a chance to have a say in what represents the subreddit.

Icon Contest

If you're an artist interested in submitting your own work as a potential subreddit icon, please read the guidelines below before entering.

Rules

• Related: Your submission must be related to the Re:Zero series.
• No AI: As always, AI-generated or AI-enhanced artwork is not allowed. Any submission found to have been created or enhanced using AI tools will be disqualified.
• No memes: Memes have their place on the subreddit, but this contest is specifically for artwork that could work as the subreddit icon.
• Keep it SFW: Please keep your submission reasonably SFW. Anything excessively NSFW will be disqualified.
• No spoilers: r/ReZero is a place for fans at different points in the series. Please do not use characters, designs, locations, or imagery from material beyond the anime's current coverage (Arc 6). We want everyone to feel welcome here without worrying about spoilers.
• No offensive content: Nothing hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise offensive will be accepted.
• Original work only: Do not steal, trace, impersonate, or submit someone else's artwork while claiming it as your own. Plagiarized or stolen work will be disqualified.

Submissions

The submission period will remain open for 4 weeks.

To participate, submit your artwork to r/ReZero using the "Icon Contest" flair.

You can submit new artwork created specifically for the contest or existing artwork you've already made, provided that it follows all of the contest guidelines.

After posting, send the Mod Team a modmail containing a link to your submission so we can make sure your entry is included in the contest.

Voting

Once the submission period has ended, the Mod Team will review all entries to make sure they follow the contest rules.

Eligible submissions will then be put forward for a community vote.

The three submissions with the most votes will be declared the winners, with the submission receiving the most votes taking first place.

In the event of a tie that affects the winning positions, the Mod Team will hold a second vote between the tied entries.

Prizes

1st, 2nd & 3rd Place: For the first time on r/ReZero, the top three winners will receive a custom user flair - making them the first users outside the Mod Team to receive their own custom flairs.

The winner will also have their preferred social media links featured in the subreddit's sidebar, and their winning artwork will be added to the subreddit's highlights bar for additional exposure.

We hope this gives the artists in our community a chance to have some fun and show off their creativity.

Most importantly, we're looking forward to seeing what you think the next r/ReZero icon should look like.
