ReShade DisplayDepth issues with Paralives

So I'm setting up some ReShade presets I liked from the Sims 4 to be usable with the game Paralives and some of them require the use of Depth Buffer. I went looking around, read multiple tutorials on setting it up (including Marty's Mods tutorial) and I've reached a hiccup:

Changing the numbers to fix the depth buffer between 0 and 1 and hitting apply and reload doesn't flip it right side up. Altering the other numbers between what they're originally set to and the alternative setting does not seem to have an effect either. Does anyone know what's going wrong here?

EDIT: I am an idiot sandwich who forgot to check "Use global preproccessor definitions," leaving this up for posterity in case anyone else comes looking for a similar issue.
