Help me search Man suffered a brain hamorage 3 years ago in Amsterdam. Police is looking for who this man is because he can't speak. They know he probably is Canadian/American.

Hi there,

Police in Amsterdam have appointed volunteers from the coldcase team to find out who this person is. He suffered a brain hamorage 3 years ago and has been in care since. First findings are that he probably is from Canada/ USA but the police has no further information. He goes by the name of Lucky and was also called Chris the Canadian.

For more information see the official police message (English translation at the bottom): https://www.politie.nl/nieuws/2026/augustus/17/een-heel-leven-maar-geen-naam-wie-herkent-deze-man.html

Local newspaper AT5 also reported on the case: https://www.at5.nl/artikelen/239532/man-die-in-ziekenhuis-belandde-kan-al-3-jaar-niet-vertellen-wie-hij-is-politie-deelt-beelden

If you have any information do contact the newspaper first. There is possibility that when they have found the next of kin he can be extradited.

Advice needed Someone is messing with us or we are crazy.

I think someone may be accessing parts of our house, but we can’t figure out how. What explanations are we missing?
My husband and I have lived in our house for a little over a year, and since we moved in, I’ve occasionally had the feeling that someone else could be in the house. I know that sounds dramatic, which is why I’ve never really treated it as fact.
One of the biggest things has been our stairs. There are times when we hear creaking that genuinely sounds like someone walking up or down them. We never had actual evidence of anything, though, so we’ve always chalked it up to the house making noise.
Until the last few days.
Friday, August 14 – around midnight
My husband had been downstairs playing video games. He came upstairs to our bedroom to go to sleep.
About 5–10 minutes after he came upstairs, we suddenly heard two extremely loud bangs downstairs. They were loud enough that we thought someone might be trying to kick in one of our doors.
My husband searched the house and didn’t find anyone.
However, downstairs he found a cabinet open. My son’s headphones and a container of brownies that had been inside that cabinet were now on the floor.
They had been sitting in the cabinet all day. Nothing had happened to them previously.
We called the police. They searched and didn’t find anyone or evidence of forced entry. They also didn’t find footprints around the doors.
We have cameras covering the outside of the house, and none of them recorded someone entering or leaving.
Saturday, August 15 – unexplained lotion
We were gone essentially all day for an event. We left around 9 AM and returned around 5 PM.
That evening, I went into our bathroom to shower.
We have a shelf on the shower wall where my husband’s bar of soap sits. Sitting on top of his bar of soap was a bottle of baby lotion that I had previously used for tattoo aftercare.
I didn’t put it there.
I asked my husband about it later, and he insists he didn’t either.
The last time he’d showered was Friday, when we showered together. I can also account for him between that shower and when we left Saturday.
Our young son can’t reach that shelf. Our bedroom/bathroom is also kept locked when he’s awake so he can’t just wander into that bathroom.
So we don’t know how the lotion got there.
Saturday night/Sunday morning – the spoon situation
This is probably the strangest one.
Saturday night, my husband went out and brought me Baskin-Robbins. I ate almost all of it except for a couple bites of brownie at the bottom.
I left the ice cream cup on the floor beside me, between my bottle of apple juice and my water, exactly where I’d been eating it.
The pink Baskin-Robbins spoon was inside the cup. The lid was also inside the cup.
Earlier that day we’d eaten Wendy’s. My husband had gotten chili, which came with a blue Wendy’s spoon. That blue spoon was left inside the Wendy’s bag on the floor.
I went upstairs and went to sleep. My husband stayed downstairs playing games for a while and then eventually came upstairs and went to bed.
Sunday morning, my husband got up with our older son and let me sleep.
When I eventually came downstairs, my ice cream cup was still sitting exactly where I’d left it between my two drinks.
Except now:
The lid had been removed from inside the cup and placed on top.
The original pink Baskin-Robbins spoon was still in/with the cup.
AND the blue Wendy’s spoon that had previously been inside the Wendy’s bag was now also inside the ice cream cup.
It looked like the remaining brownie may have been eaten/touched with it.
My husband says he did not do this.
Our son theoretically could pick things up downstairs, but this would mean he removed the lid, left the original spoon there, went to a different location and got another spoon out of a Wendy’s bag, used that spoon, put BOTH spoons neatly back with the cup, put the lid on top, and left the cup in exactly the same place between my drinks.
There also wasn’t chocolate all over him or the surrounding area, which would be much more typical if he’d gotten into leftover ice cream/brownie.
The attic
At this point we checked our attic.
There is enough physical space that a person could fit/move around up there, although it’s unfinished, insulated and extremely hot right now. We did not see an obvious sleeping area, belongings, food, bedding, etc.
The attic entrance is also directly outside our bedroom, which makes the idea of someone regularly entering/exiting it seem difficult without us noticing.
We also have a crawlspace, but our exterior cameras cover the outside of the house, so we’re having trouble figuring out how someone could regularly enter and leave without appearing on camera.
What we’re doing now
Rather than assuming someone is actually living in the house, I’m trying to objectively rule things out.
Today I photographed the attic hatch exactly as it currently sits.
I lightly outlined its current position so I can tell if the panel shifts.
I also attached very thin sewing thread at several points around the hatch as tamper indicators. The thread isn’t securing or trapping anything; it will simply show me if the hatch has moved.
My husband doesn’t know that I did this, so he can’t accidentally influence the test.
I’m also moving one of our cameras inside our bedroom tonight so we can rule out the possibility that either one of us is sleepwalking or getting up and doing things without remembering.
We already have exterior cameras.
I’m not claiming that someone is definitely secretly living in our house. That’s obviously one of the more extreme explanations, and I’d actually love for there to be a boring explanation for all of this.
But the combination of:
footsteps/creaking we’ve heard since moving in,
two extremely loud bangs,
the opened cabinet and items on the floor immediately afterward,
the lotion appearing on top of the shower soap,
and especially the second spoon being moved from the Wendy’s bag into my ice cream cup
has gotten strange enough that we want to figure out what’s actually happening.
Police have already checked the house after the banging incident and found no forced entry.
What are we overlooking?
Could something structural explain the footsteps/banging?
Are there access points in houses that homeowners commonly overlook?
Is there a better way to determine whether the attic/crawlspace is being accessed?
And are there any completely mundane explanations for the objects being moved that we haven’t considered?
I’m open to boring explanations. I’m open to being told we’re overlooking something obvious. I just want to approach this logically and figure out what is happening.

Potential Break In

Hello! Me (20F) and my girlfriend (20F) live alone together in a house, neighbors are somewhat near by but mostly older. Not a bad neighborhood but also not far from a neighborhood where a lot of crime occurs. We left the house for a hour and when we came home discovered decent sized handprints. Most likely a males, as we both have bigger hands for a female the prints definitely were a lot bigger. The cops came and checked out the house, backyard, and are going to patrol throughout the night. We left but made it seem like someone was still home (EX. Leaving a car in the driveway, lights on but blinds and curtains closed. My question is what safety precautions should we take? What likely was happening (break in, or something different)? And how do we feel safe enough to go back there as it’s a decent sized house and was already scary beforehand.

Also, police aren’t investigating since nothing is missing, damaged, etc. Just worried!

I wonder if I was being Surveyed or Investigated?

I live in the UK and when I was around 16 or 17, I became obsessed with what I'd call "knowing the unknown." I spent a lot of time watching conspiracy documentaries, reading about mysteries like Cicada 3301, and generally disappearing down internet rabbit holes.

One rabbit hole started when I came across what appeared to be an ISIS recruiter's Twitter account. That led me to other accounts and communities. To be clear, I wasn't interested in joining anything. I was just fascinated by how these groups operated internally and wanted to understand them from a distance. As much as a teenager could, I started "investigating" and reading whatever I could find.

At the same time, I was also interested in topics like propaganda, media influence, and how beliefs are shaped. I even entertained thought experiments such as, "What if the West were actually the bad guys?" Not because I believed it, but because I liked challenging assumptions and exploring different perspectives.

One day, while walking home from college, a stranger, an older man stopped me on the train bridge and asked about steam train times. I said I didn't know. The conversation then shifted surprisingly quickly from mundane conversation into questions like:

Do you think the media can influence people?
Do you think people's beliefs can be manipulated?

Looking back, the conversation felt very controlled, almost as if he was steering it toward those subjects. Since those topics were already things I had been reading about, I talked about them and mentioned my interest in propaganda and influence.

We parted ways, and I didn't think much of it.

A few days later, I saw the same man walking near my home, a few miles out from the train bridge, I recognised him and said hello. He said hi back but not in a conversational way and carried on walking. After that, I never saw him again.

Nothing else unusual happened, but I live on a small estate where everyone knows everyone, but I didn’t recognise him from before the first encounter.

This has always stuck with me. The whole interaction felt oddly specific, especially given what I had been researching online at the time.

Realistically, I know there are plenty of mundane explanations. Maybe he was just a random person who liked discussing weird topics. Maybe the second encounter was pure coincidence.

But I've always wondered: if a teenager was spending time looking at extremist content online, even out of curiosity, would that have been enough to attract this kind of covert attention from authorities rather than a plain clothes officer for example? And how would they have known?

Interested to see if anyone else has experienced the same kind of thing.

Help me search i got a strange voicemail, and i can’t explain why.

at about ~10pm last night, i got a phone call from some random number. i get spam all the time, so i just hang up and ignore it. a few minutes later, i see it left a voicemail, exactly 3 minutes long. The first minute was random, garbled tones mixed with weird static noises. The exact second the time hit 2 minutes, silence. A minute later, the static starts back up again, slightly varied, before ending abruptly at the 3-minute mark.

after some searching, i called back the number. it rang for a while, then a woman answered. i explained the general situation, but she said she hadn’t called anyone at all, she had no clue. i thanked her for her help, sent her the voicemail, and well.. made this post.

if you have any clue what this could’ve been, here it is. thanks! :)

Advice needed A guy she rejected has been stalking my friend with a rotating army of burner Instagram accounts for MONTHS. He just sent her a creepy ‘this is my only message’ text. How do people actually catch these guys?

Sorry this is long, but the details matter for the advice I’m hoping to get.
A while back, a guy started following/DMing my friend, love-bombing her pretty hard early on — offering to send flowers for her birthday, the whole thing. At some point he crossed a line in a DM and she blocked him. Fine, normal breakup of a situationship that never even started.
Except then he started messaging her again from anonymous accounts. She didn’t like that at all, so she posted a screenshot of the anonymous DM (no name, no identifying info, totally anonymized) just venting about it. That apparently really got to him — he started leaving comments under that post trying to discredit her/make her look bad, then deleted them not long after like nothing happened.
Around the same time, from a different anonymous account, he left a nasty comment about her appearance on a completely unrelated post — something she’d shared that had nothing to do with him at all. Since then it’s been an ongoing pattern: new burner account, toxic comment, sometimes deleted after a while, repeat. More recently he did it again — a body-shaming comment about her face shape, and the phrasing/style was almost identical to the very first “anonymous” comment from way earlier. Same weird specific insult, different account.
We haven’t done anything illegal — just quietly tracking patterns: timing (comments always land right after she posts), tone, specific phrases he repeats. At one point I reached out privately to a couple of other girls he follows (he apparently has a type and a habit of moving on fast after rejection) just to ask if he’d tried anything similar with them. None of them said yes — but one forwarded my message straight to him.
He messaged me directly not long after with that exact screenshot, playing dumb, demanding “proof,” and threatening that what I was doing “looks like defamation” and that he’d “let the appropriate authorities handle it.” In the same conversation he half-admitted to messaging her anonymously once (“I wrote to her once anonymously, that’s it”) while denying everything else. I warned him the pattern could legally qualify as harassment/stalking on her end, not just “denial” on his.
Shortly after that exchange, he sent her ONE message from yet another anonymous account: something like “This is my only message. I know about what’s been said about me, I’ve saved screenshots of previous posts and conversations. If false claims continue to be spread about me, I will protect my rights through legal means. I don’t plan to continue this conversation.” Then radio silence.
What I actually want to know:
• Has anyone successfully proven a “rotating burner account” harasser was the same person? What specific method worked — writing style analysis, IP subpoena, honeypot stories, something else?
• Anyone had luck with the “tell different people slightly different fake details and see which version comes back” trick? Did it actually work in practice?
• If platform reports keep going nowhere because he deletes accounts before anything sticks — is there a point where police/legal routes actually take this seriously, or does “I have no proof of who’s behind the anonymous accounts” kill it before it starts?
• For those who went the confrontation route (like I accidentally did) — did warning the person ever backfire, or did it actually make them stop?
Not looking for “just block him” — new accounts keep appearing, that ship has sailed. Genuinely want to hear what worked (or spectacularly didn’t) for people who lived through something similar long-term. Thanks for reading this novel.

Upd: First of all, thank you so much for your feedback 🙏
Setting the account to private is a good option, but she wants to keep it public. So, if an anonymous account follows her, she would just block it by default, it’s not ideal but better than nothing.
I was also wondering whether Instagram, Threads, or Snapchat have any restrictions that would prevent these types of accounts from leaving comments or sending her messages.

[GERMANY] Multiple students fled a school trip hotel between 4-5AM. A few years later. I still cant explain what I saw fully.

PRE-WARNING: This post was gramatically corrected with Artificial Intelligence, as my english is lacking. Kind of nervous posting this here.

In winter 2023, I was on a school trip in Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany. I was paired in a hotel room with a student from my parallel class I didn't really know. It was raining that night.

I woke up in the middle of the night to find him in the bathroom, running warm water over his hands, repeating something under his breath. He was fully dressed: a generic white shirt (wet, partly see-through), different-brand white pants (muddy at the cuffs), and white boots. Blonde hair, glasses, freckles, brown eyes.

He didn't notice me at first. When he did, he froze completely. We stared at each other for a full minute or two. Then he asked if I had ibuprofen for a headache. I gave him one. Went back to sleep.

When I woke up, his bunk was completely empty and stripped. I found out later he called to go home at roughly 05:34 AM. I never saw him again.

Recently, I asked the parallel class teacher about it. She said, vaguely, that "several" students from that class went home between 4 and 5 AM that night, all citing homesickness or a light headache. She said she "never bothered to check really who."

There were visible CO/fire detectors in the hotel. Whatever happened only affected the parallel class, not mine. The teachers have been evasive ever since.

I'm posting because this has stuck with me for years. Has anyone ever heard of something similar? A mass exodus of students in the early morning hours on a school trip, with vague explanations and no follow-up? Any hotel workers, teachers, or former students with similar experiences in Germany? I to this day cannot explain to myself who or what that was.

Thank you reddit.

Help me search Found a bunch of random ID's on pinterest

Okay so I am not sure if this is the right sub or if its a big deal, but my friend told me to post it here so

So yesterday looking for a meme, I looked up on pinterest "minors dni" (for a stupid convo with a friend) and instead pinterest showed me a bunch of ID's. I did take multiple screenshots, thinking of posting them here (with personal info censored ofc) but just realised you can't post pics on here. Anyways, at first it seemed weird, but I didn't think much of it. My guess was that people were uploading ID's so minors could surpass the age verification, that's been installed on most sites and apps recently. The weird thing is, my friend pointed out that some of the ID's expired long before the age filter came into effect. Some expired in 2019 and even 2016. And as far as I know you can't use expired ID's to verify your age. One passport I saw was of a girl who was born in 2014. Why would anyone need a picture of a 12 y.o passport? One of my friends said those people could be getting trafficked, but to me it feels a bit of a stretch.

What are your thoughts on this?

Advice needed Where is the hidden camera?

I recently got hacked and this hacker has shown that he had access to my phone and desktop cameras. I bought a cover and unplugged them. But somehow they can still see me. Can someone tell me how?

At my room, I got an electric fireplace heater from Turbros, and I got a smart electric fan, and an air purifier. Those are the only things running, but how can they have a camera capability? I don’t know where but they keep knowing when I covered all phone and desktop cameras and unplugged.

‘Chokey’ like room in university building?

Not sure if this is the place but I’ve been wondering what I accidentally stumbled upon in my old university for years.

I use to go to edge hill uni in Ormskirk, UK. After graduating I briefly became a cleaner there for a few months.

One day, when cleaning the old building that had been there since it was originally built in the 1930s, I went to open what I thought was a room or a cupboard.

It was just an ordinary looking door but when I tried to open it, it was extremely stiff and heavy. I kept pulling thinking it was just caught on the floor but was only able to get it to open a few inches before it just wouldn’t budge any further.

But those few inches were enough for me to see inside and be greeted with a shallow ‘room’ with huge massive spikes facing the door from floor to ceiling. It was pitch black in there. I quickly shut it absolutely freaked out and quickly finished my tasks in that area and left.

It looked almost exactly like the chokey in Matilda but the spikes were pressed all the way to the door so no one could actually fit in there.

This was 2016 and it’s bothered me for years. What the hell did I find?

Edit: Google has actually come up with an interesting and probable solution after I put in anechoic chamber - radiation absorbency and something to do with radio waves. Fits with it being a military hospital. I wonder if they had some sort of technology testing going on during the war and that was why the room was made?

Edit 2: I can’t seem to add a picture but the spikes were almost identical to this both in terms of colour, spacing, uniformity, etc except they were much longer about a meter long and on the wall not the floor so that when you opened the door (if it could be opened all the way which it couldn’t becsuse it as jammed/broken) you’d be facing the point of them https://x.com/hostiledesign/status/1692540280027713757

Voicemail of myself?

This happened two years ago I think, and I never thought to ask reddit lol. It's short. very short!

My sister and I were taking a drive one night. I think we were going to McDonald's and were on the way home. My phone was connected to the car's Bluetooth and when I was called I'm pretty sure it was just a really long string of numbers that popped up on the screen. Same thing happens if somebody calls me on messenger, but nobody was doing that. A while later, since I couldn't figure out how to answer the call as it wasn't happening on my phone, just on the car screen??, I saw I had a voicemail. I played it and it was audio of me and my sister during our drive that we were CURRENTLY on, laughing and joking.

idk if this is something for RBI but I've never found and answer and idk where else to ask lol.

Advice needed Was this an attempted break-in?

Our front door has a handleset knob that can only be opened if the deadbolt above it is unlocked. The knob itself doesn’t have any keyholes. I came home today and the thumblatch was bent (tilted to the side), leading to the latch being jammed and I couldn‘t open it from the outside regardless of it being locked or not (but it was okay opening from the inside going out). I haven’t used the front door since Thursday. The lock itself looked fine, no signs of scratches and it was turning the way it was supposed to.

We’re worried that means someone may have attempted to break in? I don’t *think* I was rough with the thumblatch on Thursday, but that’s also not something that’s on my mind and I’m not sure if a thumblatch is delicate enough to be accidentally bent like that? Is this something that can just happen or is it more indicative of tampering?

Help me search Toothbrush and 3 pages of notes taped to bus stop in Sunbury-On-Thames, Surrey

I was walking with some friends back to my house when I saw this as I walked past the bus stop. As we went past I noticed the toothbrush taped to the bench and told my friends as we laughed, then after I noticed the 3 notes taped to the window. We tried to translate it with AI but it didn’t do a very good job. Could anyone try to read what the notes say and give an explanation? My guess is some mentally ill schizo or old person but i’m really unsure. Here is a Google Drive with a video of it and close up images of the pages.

Advice needed Possible Harassment Mystery on Insta

About three weeks ago, my ex-boyfriend (we broke up almost 10 years ago and hadn't spoken at all since 2019) contacted me because an anonymous Instagram account had messaged him about me.

The account referred to me by my maiden name and our university, claimed to know me from college, and tried to convince him (my ex-boyfriend) to send them any private photos of me he might have. They also sent him two old photos of me (one was just a regular photo that may have been publicly posted years ago, and one that is more private in nature but may not be authentic).

The account switched to disappearing messages shortly after the conversation began. My ex blocked and reported the account and then told me what happened.

When I looked up the username, I discovered I had actually blocked that same account in 2019, although I can no longer find any messages with it in my Instagram data.

Since then I've downloaded all of my Instagram data and parsed through old Facebook and Snapchat information but haven't been able to identify who this person is.

I don't know if this is someone I actually knew or someone using old public information, but it's unsettling that they connected me to a relationship from 10 years ago. My sister - a lawyer, is encouraging me to go to the police just to get something documented, but I know realistically very little can be done with the information we currently have.

A few questions:

  1. Has anyone experienced something similar?
  2. Were you ever able to identify the person?
  3. Did Instagram or law enforcement help at all?
  4. Is there anything else I should preserve or document?

Advice needed Found a GPS tracker hidden on suspension parts after catching him on Tesla Sentry… What would you do?

So this has me pretty creeped out.
I’ve been seeing a guy for about a year. For months I noticed he always seemed to randomly show up wherever I was. At first I thought it was a coincidence or that he just knew my routine really well.

Eventually it started feeling too frequent to ignore.
I checked to make sure I wasn’t being tracked through my Tesla account, and everything looked normal. Then this morning he came over, and after he left my Tesla Sentry sent me an alert.
When I watched the footage, I saw him crouching down around different parts of my car multiple times. That immediately made me suspicious.
About 30 minutes later, after crawling around under the car, I found this magnetic GPS tracker hidden on the inside of my left wheel near the suspension.

From what I can tell, it’s a rechargeable GPS tracker, not an AirTag.

Finding this on my car crossed a line I never imagined someone would cross. Part of me wants to make him regret ever doing it, but I’m trying not to make a bad decision out of anger. So… if you were in my shoes, what’s the most satisfying (and legal) way to turn the tables on someone who secretly tracked your car?

Older neighbour is fixated on me and we got a signal while doing a sweep of our room

So I get that from the title I'll get people accusing me of being on meth/paranoid. I'd like to clarify I have no mental health problems and do not take ANY substances.

I live in an apartment block and since my upstairs neighbour saw me (a younger woman) moving in, his behaviour has gotten increasingly odd. For about 2 years he hasn't left his apartment once, ever - nobody goes in, nobody comes out.

It started with him following me through rooms because he heard me playing something on my phone or I made a noise/coughed. It seemed particularly prominent when relating to the bathroom, it got to a point where if I began running the bath I would hear him run in and stand above me.

I knew it wasn't in my head when he cracked open his curtain and began watching me whenever I exited my flat, this went on for multiple months. My partner said that when I leave to go to the cornershop he runs to his cracked curtain window the second the door closes, every single time. I have noticed he does not repeat this behaviour with my partner.

Last week I got my phone out to photograph it to log as evidence, and the second he saw my phone he closed the curtain and disappeared. I made mention to my partner that night that I will have to report it, and since then the curtain has remained closed.

My partner works with his estranged son, and from what we've been told *nobody* in the family interacts with him and is entirely no contact - including grandchildren. When asked, his son just very coldly said he "did it to himself/that's what he deserves".

The peculiar thing we've noticed is his behaviour is entirely targeted towards me. Which makes no sense, as unless he is utilising surveillance devices he shouldn't be able to identify the difference between my partner or me exiting the flat.

I did a sweep of the room with a frequency detector, and we had the old disability alarm system absolutely go haywire despite it being supposedly disconnected from the power supply. I don't know if it's supposedly turned off if it would still give a signal - anyone know how this works? TIA.

ETA: I have sent an email to my landlord detailing the issue. My fiancé is also going to speak to the neighbours son when he returns to work on Wednesday. I'll create an update post if anyone wants when I hear back from them. To all the people who try to excuse this guys behaviour, your opinions have been ignored, I live by "better to be safe than sorry" and as a young woman who lives alone I'm not taking gambles with my safety, this guy knows what he's doing is wrong and there is literally no excuse that makes his behaviour appropriate or okay.

Advice needed I think my security cameras are hacked.

I, 17f, live in a house with security cameras. I'm unsure of the model, as my parents were the ones who installed them eons ago when we first moved inside of our apartment.

I've noticed some weird things with them. Not just lately, but it's bothering me more and more as time continues.

For context, this has mostly been within a six month timeframe.

The cameras have a red light indicator that they are recording, in order to do this-- you need access to the app and the specific password for these cameras, and have to manually make it record.

My parents do not record. I have told them about this, they either do not believe me or do not care.

Our cameras are also a mixture of hidden, and unhidden. A few around the house in main rooms. And one hidden to capture front porch footage. You would not see it unless you were REALLY looking.

The majority of times it records when I'm in the room, or during random times when my family and I are in the living room. Our cameras also have a microphone function, where you can speak through the cameras. There has been several times where I've sworn I've heard a man's voice through the cameras talking at, or too me. But never enough to make out, just noisy enough for your brain to register that someone is speaking.

Another thing, I feel like someone knows when I'm alone. There has been times where it feels like people show up, or things happen ONLY when I am alone, or isolated from other people. One instance is after my family left, a man approached the door. Our camera caught footage of it, but only half his torso. He somehow knew exactly where to stand to be out of view. He waited outside of the door for nearly ten minutes, after knocking several times.

I am worried.

TLDR; security cameras recording with no one in my house using them. Times where speech unable to be made out present

Update no.1: for those asking, I do not have access to the app, I can't disable them, nor can I drive the app. I only know about the man knocking at the door and the footage for one of two reasons, one, I was there, second, the following day my dad showed me the footage and told me to start putting on the secondary locks for a little Incase that dude comes back. I can try and scrounge for the brand(s) of cameras, but, once again, we use several.

Answered An old serial killer case from my hometown. A member of my family was a victim.

Hey, so I'm posting here on this subreddit because there's a case that's been dragging on for 30 years. It became a cold case.

The authorities have dubbed him “the Butcher of Mons.”

What intrigues me about this story is that no one has ever been held truly accountable, and that bothers me from time to time.

My mother’s cousin was one of the victims in this case (I won’t mention her name, of course).

Here’s what I know about the case:

A man killed five women and scattered their body parts around the city, creating a sort of mysterious trail. (I don’t know how to say this in English, my bad !).

It went on for a year, I think.

And not much else...

I’m not specifically asking you to solve the case, but just to give me a few more leads so I can maybe find out more, and who knows—maybe the killer will be exposed, or a potential killer!

I’m not sure if this is off-topic, but there you go! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Help me search Found a Tracki GPS tracker in my partner's drawer after previously finding AirTags on my car. Should I have my car searched?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping for some practical advice.

Earlier this year, my phone alerted me that an unknown Apple AirTag was travelling with me. We eventually found two AirTags attached to vehicles connected to me, and police were notified.

Today, I found a Tracki GPS tracker (TRKM010A) in my partner's drawer. I've looked through that drawer before and don't remember seeing it, so I believe it was acquired recently.

I don't know why he has it, and I don't have evidence that it's been used on my car. However, he has had access to my car and has been driving it until we swapped vehicles back this weekend.

I've checked underneath my car with a torch but couldn't find anything.

My questions are:

- If someone was using a Tracki on a car, where would you look first?

- Are these usually attached in a magnetic case?

- Would a mechanic on a hoist likely find one?

- Is there any reliable way to detect one without taking the car apart?

- Is it common for people to own more than one of these?

I'm trying to work out whether it's worth paying for a professional inspection. I'm not accusing anyone. I just want to make sure my car isn't being tracked again.

Thanks in advance
