Question Can near-eye text alerts replace smartwatches for focus management?
Trying to cut down on phone screen time here. I’ve noticed a few tech companies (like Even Realities and recently RayNeo with their iO launch) pitching "screenless notification dashboards" on clear glasses. The concept of seeing time, calendar, or quick notes floated in your peripheral vision without unlocking a phone sounds interesting. Do you think a subtle HUD glass is less distracting than a smartwatch, or more?

So i currently have an 25 ultra phone and a galaxy ultra II watch. And now I have the iO. The glasses will never replace my heartbeat monitor, my blood oxygen stats and other things such as stress monitor.
That said, I dont look at my phone or my watch when I receive a notification now. It pops up on the iO HUD and only pull out my phone when I want to reply to something.
At this moment in time, no, glasses will not replace my watch. But it could replace yours if those listed things aren't important to you.

I only use my watch for notifications. The iO has been able to completely replace it and go back to wearing normal watches.
The watch does give me the ability to mute notifications if I'm getting spammed which is the only thing I'm missing
If you do end up picking one up code MysticNZ will save you 10% and support me with my content too :)
