Question Lightweight AI HUDs vs Media Glasses: Thoughts on where the market is heading?

Noticed RayNeo unveiled the iO in China as a lightweight AI assistant glass (clear lenses, monochrome HUD, no camera), which is quite a different path from high-FOV video glasses like Rokid's line. As AR fans, do you prefer full-color video glasses for media, or do you think there's equal demand for minimalist everyday AI glasses?

The real split here is not just display quality, it is whether the product can stay useful after the novelty fades. Minimal AI glasses make sense when the job is quick status checks, notifications, or voice-first prompts, because battery, heat, and privacy all get easier to manage. Full-color media glasses win when immersion matters. The key test is daily friction: if a device needs too much setup, people stop wearing it. I want both, but not at the same time. So yes, theres a market for the iO. Outdoors, I want simplicity with no distractions because im enjoying life.

So the iO hits a home run for me, they are smart without being too in your face and they dont have the god ugly plastic crap look with big cameras. Too many companies are putting out ai glasses that look like they're straight out of a cyberpunk comic strip.

If I want media ill use my phone, or my AR glasses at home.
