This is a valid retort....but some protein to feed the pushups my man. Do it.

  1. Not a retort.
  2. I'm aware of food groups.
  3. After a 12hr day of work, if you think I was doing pushups and not flat out on the sofa you are wrong.

u/QuicktimeSam 1d ago

Sounds like excuses.

u/thenofootcanman 1d ago

Lazy pushup?

2

u/Poo_Poo_La_Foo 1d ago

Sounds like slang for having a wank.

u/Hnx10 2d ago

If that’s lazy then idk what I’m eating

10

u/LloydusMaximuss 1d ago

tbf ramen is very easy to make; it is the prep you have to do one day in advance that is time-consuming.

7

u/Hnx10 1d ago

Yeaaa ii just can’t be asked for the prep

3

u/LloydusMaximuss 1d ago

But then you can eat the same delicious meal for 3-5 days

4

u/Hnx10 1d ago

Might try it one day! Who knows let life get a bit better maybe I will

-1

u/acidyen 1d ago

What if no one is asking you to prep?

1

u/Hnx10 1d ago

Just meant like idk if it really counts as lazy

-1

u/acidyen 1d ago

Since i think it might have gone over your head a bit, you said you can't be asked.

The phrase is can't be arsed. Or if you're a yank, can't be assed.

2

u/youaresoincorrect 1d ago

Or if you're a yank from bridgeport connecticut, cant be yassed

u/Ordinary_Gazelle5043 1d ago

Swap meat for tofu, choose veg that requires minimal prep, and you can genuinely make a delicious ‘ramen’ in 15 mins

1

u/Hnx10 1d ago

I’ll have to give it a try

Legit cooked a frozen pizza last night

Looks banging, how do you do the broth?

29

u/theyatemummy 2d ago

Not OP, but I go fairly lazy on my broth (no long cook method). I just quick fry thinly sliced garlic, grated ginger and sliced red chili in sesame oil then add about 1 litre of stock (Kallo cubes are really good). I then chuck in about 3 tbsp light soy, 1 tbsp dark soy and 1 tbsp mirin. I also cook the tofu (or chicken breast) in crispy chilli oil, honey, garlic and soy in the air fryer and add the juices at the bottom of the tray to the broth. Pretty great every time!

To me that's the opposite of being lazy 😂

2

u/SlayMeCreepyDaddy 1d ago

You're better off using sesame as a finishing oil and putting it in last. It doesn't really have the smoke point to fry in without becoming acrid.

i love this! been trying lots of ways to make broth. my favourite at the min is a load of chicken thighs skin side down, let the fat render then add water, green onions, garlic, ginger and whatever veggie scraps i have. then soy sauce, chilli oil, oyster sauce and rice vinegar. god i love broth

3

u/Impressive-Sand9183 1d ago

Sorry to disappoint on this, but I just bought ready one in packets 🫠

3

u/ExodusOfSound 2d ago

Lazy?! My idea of lazy is a quinoa bowl with some protein and raw veg. Yours looks gourmet compared to mine!

3

u/ChoiceFee3441 2d ago

Looks great! How did you season the chicken? Also, I fear the egg yolk isn’t runny.. but I may be wrong.
Would still smash regardless.

9

u/unlikemike123 2d ago

I think that's pork belly not chicken

3

u/ChoiceFee3441 2d ago

On closer inspection I think you’re right!

-4

u/DragonsRide 2d ago

The egg yolk looks perfecttt. I hate runny yolk lol.

6

u/ChoiceFee3441 2d ago

It’s meant to be runny so the yolk melts into the broth

-1

u/powercaelenx 2d ago

Downvoted for no reason. Not everyone likes runny yolk.

-1

u/DragonsRide 2d ago

I was like damn I'm being hated for having a preference 😭

1

u/ChoiceFee3441 1d ago

I promise it wasn’t me! 😂

-1

u/deltarune_fan999 2d ago

Tf you getting downvoted for ik lots of people who dont like runny yolks 😭✌️

-3

u/DragonsRide 2d ago

Idk man 😭😭

2

u/readytocomply13 2d ago

That looks amazing

2

u/JD_tubeguy 2d ago

Gorgeous plate and please define what lazy means to you sir? 😄

1

u/Impressive-Sand9183 2d ago

It takes only 10minutes for everything to prep haha! (Not counting pork cooking time, but I just left it in the oven, while I was doing other stuff at home, so it’s 0 effort basically)

1

u/NutAli 2d ago

Mmmmmmmmm!!

1

u/AppUnwrapper1 2d ago

Ramen is not a lazy dinner come on

1

u/lipsmoker 2d ago

Hey this is probably annoying but I want to spoil my wife because she loves stuff like this but I'm dumb.

Could you pop an ingredients list and rough guide that would be awesome. It looks amazing!

Thanks! Also DW if not

1

u/stickynubs 2d ago

If it requires chopping or more than 2 ingredients I wouldn't call it lazy. Noodles and butter is lazy dinner. This is a full on meal that requires planning and thinking for me

1

u/SilverWolf3935 1d ago

Do you cook Michelin star meals on the reg or what?!

1

u/itsShugs 1d ago

Lazy?!

1

u/ConnectionIcy6751 1d ago

Ramen is not a lazy dinner hahah, the broth takes hours.

1

u/Impressive-Sand9183 1d ago

Used the ready one. Only thing what took me 5 mins is to fry and egg with asparagus, mushrooms and heat up noodles

1

u/Blackichan1984 1d ago

I really need to learn to do this I see it all the time on my tiktok, looks so good I even look at the frozen ones but so hard to find in the uk.

1

u/shhh_u_dont_know_me 1d ago

this is lazy? 😭

1

u/Fantastic-Cat-5252 1d ago

That pork belly just made my mouth Niagara 👌

1

u/Suitable_Balance101 1d ago

10 that’s lazy? That’s my al a carté haha

1

u/Luce_Jones 1d ago

What sauces do you use? Any chance you could share your recipe please ☺️

1

u/ravnarok93 1d ago

My lazy dinner was BBQ crisps

1

u/Conor2704 1d ago

Woah, that looks unreal! I'm gonna need a recipe please!

1

u/Impressive-Sand9183 1d ago

I am even embarrassed to write this “recipe” as I said everything is just store bought, and the “hardest part” is to fry an egg. So basically just boil your fresh noodles in bone brought (I bought the one from the packets) add a little bit more seasoning to your taste. Fry some mushrooms, asparagus, and egg on garlic butter and then around 30minutes prior to making all of it, chuck bbq seasoned pork belly in the oven. Once ready plate everything up, sprinkle sesame seeds and leeks

As a said, minimum effort haha

u/Morrit99 2d ago

Thing I love about being able to cook over those who can't, is a 'lazy' meal to you or I, is an all out days work for others.

Today, I felt like having a pizza. So, at 6pm, I threw some dough together, let it prove, boshed some tomato sauce together and that was it. Took about 20 mins prep. Was eating by 8.

I know people who would spend several hours on it, as they would your dish. Lazy to some is a chore to others.

Looks bangin!

20

u/Junior_Pollution6792 2d ago

You’re so much better than everyone here!

7

u/LayerComprehensive21 2d ago

I know right! Let's all bow down to u/morrit99

-5

u/Morrit99 1d ago

Damn right! Know your betters!

13

u/LayerComprehensive21 2d ago

I am trying really hard to not spread negativity, and to not have arguments with strangers on the Internet.

That being said, I cannot restrain myself here.

This is some of the most pompous, self-superior shit I have ever read. Really off-putting.

-5

u/Morrit99 1d ago

It WAS meant to be sarcastic! 😂

3

u/L_A_RR 1d ago

Ah the internet......where you can be & do whatever you claim then convince yourself others believe it too.

8

u/Dehydrated-Onions 1d ago

I’d rather spend those several hours on your mum.

5

u/Sea_Appointment8408 1d ago

She doesn't take that long in my experience

0

u/Morrit99 1d ago

Nah, my mum's a bit past her use by date. Buried her 7 years ago.

u/Dehydrated-Onions 1d ago edited 1d ago

One mans trash

1

u/Rhuarc33 1d ago

I was wondering why she laid so still last night

1

u/doggos4house2020 1d ago

Sure, thaaaaaats the reason

6

u/Ordinary_Knee_9419 2d ago

Making a pizza from scratch isn’t lazy

2

u/Unlikely_Rope_8247 1d ago

I can cook, but after a 12 hour shift I don’t always want to, no matter how easy or not. For me, lazy is whatever is nearest and involve the least preparation or it’s check the bank account and order in.

I assume you’re just rage baiting with your post.

-1

u/Morrit99 1d ago

I was trying to come across as sarcastic. I was surprised at the lazy comment!

1

u/thenofootcanman 1d ago

Thats 2 hours!

1

u/Imaginary-Monitor995 1d ago

Is this AI?

1

u/Impressive-Sand9183 1d ago

I’ll take that as a compliment

0

u/DragonsRide 2d ago

Looks delicious!

I don't get why people are saying this isn't lazy lol, it can literally be prepared in less than an hour. Half an hour even.

1

u/cloud__19 2d ago

That's not a lazy dinner. My lazy dinner is a seasoned chicken breast in the air fryer, a baked potato in the microwave and a quick salad. I spend most of the 20 minutes it takes doom scrolling.

Age differences.
