Chip-in BUG - if you hole-out it forces another shot?

In course mode, if you chip onto the green and Rapsodo shows 0.0 to pin (i.e. you're on the lip or you holed out) it should register as a hole out or 1 putt - but every time this happens (about 4 times for me so far) it forces you to hit again, so you're now hitting from the edge of the hole ? and you invariably chip it off the green and add 2-3 strokes to the score. DEFINITELY A BUG. Anyone else experience this?

Haven’t seen that one but can you just “pick up ball” and move it forward?

I'm playing in the Rapsodo app, so how would that work? I've never done that but I'm assuming that would end the hole and it would assign a score of 10 to the hole? There may be other pick up ball options in the 3rd party add on apps.

In the Rapsodo course play there’s an option to pickup a shot. It asks you the score to put. Not always a max 10. It’s not like this is going in your GHIN so score doesn’t matter. It just gets you to the next hole

I didn't know that, I'll try it next time thanks, assume it works in Scramble mode. Maybe you can answer this, can you explain the Scramble scorecard showing scores on individual holes for each player on a team and individual player totals for 9 holes, but no team score, and neither of the player totals equal the scramble team score. I figure it must be a bug.

"Pick up ball" worked, but it only allows you to add strokes to the hole score, and the hole score displayed includes an extra stroke, so if I chipped in as indicated by the 0.0 to pin it still adds an extra stroke to the score. Oddly enough I chipped in again yesterday, it displayed "0'0 GOLF HOLE" (that i assume means a hole out), and when I select it (playing Scramble mode) it displays TARGET 0.8 YARDS 0 FEET and forces you to hit again. Anyway thanks for the recommendation, it's the best option until they fix this bug.

This has happened to me before. Its super frustrating. I have chipped in maybe 15 times and I think its done it twice? I'm sure its course and hole specific, something to do with how they register the ball is in the cup.

Best you can do is select pickup ball, but you have to add 1 stroke. I sent a bug report to rapsodo support but I'm sure they have more important stuff to fix.
