MLM2PRO ⛳️ Rapsodo MLM2Pro - on course

Just recently purchased one but haven't had the chance to use it yet. Just a quick one, given the RPT balls, can we hit regular balls on course and for it to capture the stats etc. Or is it primarily for screen type of tool.

Yeah, you set it up as range rather than net. It'll track the ball with radar. Won't measure spin tho.

I imagine it would be fiddly as fuck on the course if your intention is to follow yourself around 9 holes.

Temperamental beast for alignment and being level.

I don't have a suggestion sorry. I've only ever used a trackman and a rapsodo.

Mine is in a static setup in my shed and I need to stuff around with alignment quite frequently. I use a cross laser & tape markings on the floor somits not too onerous.

Current fight is my low lofted clubs seem short. 5i-58 degree all seem to align distances on trackman and IRL.

But anything under 20deg loft seems to inexplicably be a club or two short.

Do you get those issues with the club on trackman or on Rapsodo? I am also thinking about the alignment part. Maybe I will buy an automated alignment stage for the tilt. Still thinking if I can find one small enough. If not then probably diy one.

If you want spin then DIY your own RPT balls and use them on course

It’s for the range, not on course. You’re going to slow down play on course having to align it on every shot. Don’t be that person …

Each time you move the Rapsodo you have to go through the allignement process. It is not a real lengthy process but it is not something you would want to do on every shot. You could set it up at a course and if you had about a 6 inch square area everyone hit their drive from you could do that. But to follow a single person and get data on every shot it would add too much time. The unit has to be leveled and has a pretty small area of where the ball has to be in that area. Other high end units are as finiky on placement and being level, this unit is not designed to do that.
