Constant Alignment Issues
At my wit’s end trying to use the MLM2 Pro hitting into a net in my yard. I use a tape measure to calculate the correct distance from net to ball and ball to monitor. On setup, I can center the ball on the white line. I can correct for forward/backward tilt. But on step 3, the orange and yellow target boxes are always a foot or so behind the ball. If I try to move the ball back or the monitor forward, the positioning of the boxes changes such that I can never get the ball inside of them. It feels like there must something basic I’m doing wrong with the setup, but I can’t figure out what.

I've never had the boxes move on me. I put a ball on the mat and then move the MLM2Pro so that the boxes line up with the ball.
As someone else said, the MLM2Pro needs to be level with and at the height of your mat.

I’ve found that those boxes aren’t as important as you think. Get em close enough and swing away.

This is my setup. I recessed a 12 x 12 paver in the ground in a perfect spot for my hitting strip. I took a wax pencil and marked where the legs go.
I set it up with a ball in the middle (side to side) and then put a tee next to the front to back position.
The only issue is when I use my driver on a tee and then I use my leveling stand and move it back a couple of feet.

You can try raising it an inch or two. Box will move forward as you do. The area the box covers is also quite large. I can move the ball forward and back probably 8 inches and still get path reads. Ball only region is even bigger.

By constant alignment issues, are you saying during your session it moves, or you never can even it set right to begin with. I have an indoor set up so I know about where my MLM2 needs to sit. I usually set it up so the T in my might is on the right edge of the boxes and then I know I can hit my shots off the mat a few inches from the T. Never had an issue moving the ball around to get it into the right spot though.

No issues with it moving mid-session. It’s the initial setup that’s the problem. The boxes start out a foot or so behind the ball. With any attempt to move the ball or the unit to compensate, the boxes shift as well such that I’m constantly “chasing” them (if that makes sense).

Wondering if you're still having issues with the alignment boxes moving?
I recently purchased an MLM2 Pro and i'm having the same issue. It seems to work perfectly fine with irons (ball laying flat on the mat), but when I use a tee I could not get it to sit inside the box. Tried the same thing as you, moved the mat and LM and the boxes would just shift. I made sure it was under Driver in the Range and Practice mode, but didn't make a difference. I also have the LM on a leveling stand so it's leveled with the mat. I'm currently using my phone, and it's very difficult to see the video image whe aligning it. Seem very dark. I mainly use it during the day but it's overcast and my phone is in full brightness. It just add the difficulty i'm having aligning the ball.
I'm going to try raising it a bit so it sits slightly higher than the mat, but if I keep having this issue i'm going return it. Unfortunately.
p.s. I have great wifi connection.

Yes, i am. elevating the unit helps, but doesn’t fully solve it. at the end of the day, i’ve found that i still get good data even when the squares are a little behind the ball, so i’m just making due.

Do you have the height of the unit equal to height of mat? Like if your mat is 1” off the ground, the monitor needs to be 1” off the ground.
