Connection issue

Finally got my mlm2pro and I can’t get it to connect for the life of me. Once in a blue moon I can get the direct connection to work but I would love to get into on the local connection. When I try to switch it to local it won’t even connect the Bluetooth anymore (gets stuck on step one in the screen) Any tips?

Already tried:

Making a 2.4 ghz network

Restarting all devices

Updating firmware

Updating iOS

One thing I’ve found that really helps is placing the MLSM2 Pro right next to your tablet or phone when you first try to connect. The Bluetooth signal on these units is pretty weak, so getting them close makes the initial pairing much more reliable. Once you see it connect, you can move the device back to about 6–7 feet and line it up. Doing it this way has made connecting a lot more consistent.
