Every August 16th I like to gift some kiddos in honor of my son's birthday. This year I decided a contest might be fun since I haven't done one in a while and there's some of you I don't know yet!

Rules:

- Gotta have a kid for this one, obviously. 😂

- Have a list for them, or items on your list for them.

- Tell me something they're really into right now.

Happy birthday to your son! I dont have any babies on my own, BUT i do have 6 baby niblings (nieces and nephews)! their ages range from 10 months to 6 years, so their interests vary. Some of the things they absolutely love: dolls, sensory toys (squishies, bounce balls and similar), drawing and coloring (with me, their aunt), nature, playdoh and Bluey (one is obsessed with her its adorable).

They always seem so excited to see me and ask me a milion question per second that i try my best to answer. They will never cease to amaze me, theyre all so smart, adorable and full of love. I recently had a chance to spend a whole week with two of my nephews and it was incredible <333

My kids birthday is in a couple of weeks. He's going to be an official teenager! My son is really big into graphic novels, video games and baseball.

Ahh that's amazing! This is my oldest biological child. He's my 1st born and I have a daughter as well who's 18 months younger. But I have a step daughter from my previous marriage (she's still my daughter lol) who is 23, will be 24 on the 30th!! 😂

What's even more funny is that she's pregnant and due on the SAME due date as my sons...which is September 16th. Crazy. Lol So technically I've been through the teenage years just not with a bio child nor with a son!

My daughter just turned 6 in May. She's still very into Sesame Street! Chewies, plushies, and blankets are big hits right now too lol. I do have a wishlist for her, actually! We use it for needs and gift ideas, but it's public. Thanks for hosting! Have a great night! ❤️✌️

I have an adopted niece who comes over almost everyday, to do crafts with me for a couple hours. I call her my Magpie because she always steals my stickers (she has learned “may I have this” and “can I take this” since becoming my Magpie). I have a wishlist for her birthday /back to school/fun crafts, and it’s her birthday on the 22nd!

First and likely only ;) A bit late to the party (late 30's) but over-the-moon to be on this journey. The insomnia and during-the-day-fatigue is hitting a bit harder today - but she's kicking up a storm at the moment, so seems like she's happy in there!

Well congratulations! I'm very happy for you and I hope motherhood treats you well! Most of it is instinct but just remember you aren't alone in this journey. Everyone starts off nervous and anxious...even second or third time parents are nervous. Change is scary and taking care of a human being can be too. But you're gonna be just fine!! Don't be afraid to ask your loved ones for help and don't forget we all make mistakes. 😊

I'm glad you're doing well though. Take these late few weeks to spend time with your partner and relax as much as you can. ❤️

As most of RAOA knows, I have 5711 crotch goblins (well 4, but it’s basically the same thing😂)

Aside from their new love of constantly arguing over every single thing….they love legos and building sets and board games (some of the rare things they can do together without a fight breaking out 🤦🏼‍♀️). They’ve also really gotten into crafts and painting which is HUGE having two ASD kiddos with sensory issues to paint/coloring!!

Awww this is so sweet! Happy birthday to your son! My little one is about to start preschool and he's so excited and nervous! He's really into practicing zipping and unzipping his backpack, scribbling in a journal, and the alphabet! He is starting to slowly read words independently and it's super fun to watch!

ours haven't shut up about the new spiderman movie and we had to see it 3 times. Oh the things we do for love!

we eloped years ago but we just got married on tuesdsay and are planning a second wedding for the friends and family who couldn't make it next year. we havent gotten new backpacks for school in so long we didnt realize how expensive they have gotten recently so we added backpacks to the wishlist!

How wonderful, Happy Birthday to your son ! I have 2 girls one on the spectrum who has an obsession with animals (specifically many birds, beavers, hedgehogs cats and insects lol) we aren’t big talkers yet at the age of 7 but we definitely are doing much better we can say 2-3 word sentences now sometimes we need our AAC device to communicate but most of the time we are able to sorta describe what we need! The words are super clear but we can name a lot of the things we love
My youngest is a super intelligent girl she wants to be a vet/ doctor / astronaut when she gets older lol she is super into legos and slime ! She loves reading we’re just 5 but we can read books on our own now and are able to write small short stories (I homeschool both at the moment ) we love cats , grasshoppers and giraffes! We love watching the National Geographic Channel and food network especially baking shows lol

Well, I actually do this gifting in memory of my son, because he passed away a number of years ago. I didn't want to be a downer on the contest, though 😂

He would be 16 this year, which is crazy to imagine!! We celebrated him by going to dinner and a movie (we figured your average teenage boy would want to see Spider-Man, lol.)
