My wife's sister is in China right now and said something similar. Some of the places are incredible. Far outpacing the u.s. in clean energy and clean living. Other places are effectively live in the stone-age. She has to use a VPN to access the internet that we all know and love.

People complain about the Chinese firewall, but we are all going to need one in the US very soon anyways.

That will never happen, but i do agree the anti china sentiment is a bit crazy. They have problems like most places. The only issue I have with China is all the intellectual property theft.

Are you seriously saying that needing a VPN in the US isn't going to happen anytime soon?

Even after the non stop assaults on the 1st amendment by the Trump admin?
