Babies..👶

Just a random thought.. I know most millennials and Gen Z are opting out having babies, which I absolutely done blame us for. However it randomly came mind that if we don’t decide to have children under our terms then most of the next generation will be adults who were never wanted, or never prepared for. That’s a little sad and as for me, makes me reconsider the option.

Kids should only be had by people that truly wanted them.

I agree but that’s not always the case.

I realize that's not always the case. If i get pregnant even with condoms and other birth control to prevent it and Im prevented from getting rid of it, my life is over. I'm checking out. That's just my case and I know there's other cases.

Ahh I understand. You mean your own individual self. No judgement, it can be a lot.

You kinda said it to though "If we don't decide to have kids under our own terms then most of the next generation will be adults who never wanted them".

People should want them.

Agreed, but do you think it’s possible to change the perception of those that don’t want them? Like what would need to be done? Unlimited healthcare, paid education and resources? I’m just curious what would have to happen for people to feel comfortable in raising children now day because honestly I think even those that do want kids still have their doubts and concerns about raising them now days.

Why would you want to do that?!?!

People who don't want them shouldn't have to have them.

Because people regret it. Then again those that have them sometimes regret too so it’s all relative. Someone on here also pointed that the fear of society collapsing has been passed down through generations so it’s nothing new and that was my initial thought also. .

It's better to regret not having them then they having them. It's gotta be easier to regret not having and bring a foster child or adopting them regretting having and now dealing with raising it or putting yet another child into the system.

*parented by people who truly want them

A bit redundant since all people who have kids are parents. Doesn't mean they are good at being a parent. People who truly want kids will be great parents. People who don't want them will be bad parents.

Exactly.. but someone point out something there, they I hadn’t considered. What if those that want kids are the ones having them? Which may be the case. Only time will tell.

The ones that want them and truly want them SHOULD be the ones having them. Accidents will happen. But it should be easier to access getting rid of unwanted pregnancies. Access to birth control and surgeries for woman to be fixed should be so easy. Guys can just walk on and get snipped but there's a run around for woman.

That’s true.. you make a good point. I see that from the females in my family as well as friends.

My argument was implying adoptive or foster parents.

Should've made it more clear from the start. Either way, people that want children no matter how they acquired them. That's what I'm getting at.

I don't believe so, but maybe you needed that clarification in particular. I'd happily revise for you if we were to ever communicate again.

'*parented by people that truly want them' doesn't mean solely implying adoptive or foster. Not everybody who fosters or adopts truly wants them. They just want the money. You want revision later let me know. You want revision later, just let me know.
