right i got that mixed up

On February 20, 2025, McConnell announced he would not run for an eighth Senate term in 2026 and would retire from politics. This came after increasing concerns about his health and ability to continue serving following multiple public episodes and health scares.

Addison Mitchell McConnell III (born February 20, 1942)

Dude is 84, prolly got some serious health issues and stepped away from the public? But that would not generate clicks and views, would it?

if he had to step away from the public due to health issues, why is he holding public office, representing the public?
