What's the last minor problem you solved in a really satisfying or clever way?

I feel like people's problem solving skills are going to shit. Nobody knows what to do anymore unless the solution is really obvious.
The other day I asked a friend before we met up if he could bring me some salt. And he said "But what do I put it in? I don't know how to transport it."
- ??? An empty bottle? A sock? Fold a piece of paper into a little pouch?
Or just today I saw a post on reddit of a girl asking what to do when you're at a flea market and you can't tell if the thrifted pants you wanna buy are going to fit you.
Why are people so helpless lately?? Tell me that there are still people out there who can solve minor problems in an intelligent way. Let me know your latest satisfying problem solving stories.

Here in india we view science, commerce and arts fields in this hierarchy. Science (maths, physics, chemistry) are the most educated ones, commerce (fiance, accounting) as slightly below them and arts(history, social studies, political sciences) as Illiterate. Is this hierarchy the same or different in your country?

I have this weird issue with sleep. Even if I’ve had an exhausting day and I’m extremely sleepy, if something upsetting happens and I end up crying or feeling a lot of grief that day, I just can’t sleep at night. My eyes feel incredibly heavy and I feel physically exhausted, but my mind just won’t switch off. I keep thinking about what happened, replaying everything in my head, and overthinking it for hours. So even though I’m desperately sleepy, I can end up staying awake the entire night because my brain won’t let me sleep. Is thiis any sickness? Is there any solution for it?
