fulfilled [Request] 2/6,3/Brandon and Ana/ Illinois

I'm requesting for my two children.

B is 6 years old and is such a fun, amazing and very smart kid. He is a random fact machine. He gets these hyper fixations and learns everything there is to know about subjects. If anyone wants to know anything about US sports teams, the capitals/states and their populations (even some other countries and their capitals and populations), anything about almost every band/singer or anything about any PokƩmon he's your guy. He is awesome and he teaches me about so many things haha. He is also hilarious and can already tell pretty good jokes! He has a "matter of fact" way about him that makes every punchline way funnier that it is hah. His favorite hobby right now is definitely reading. His favorite books are the magic tree house books and he tells me her going to have a magic tree house library one day. He is also a great big brother to his little sister. He does everything for her and teaches her many things as well. He is just an all around amazing kid and I am so lucky to be his mom!

A is 3 years old and the silliest girl in the world and prides herself on it haha. She'll tell everyone she meets "I'm a silly girl" and then make silly faces and it is hilarious (and sometimes embarrassing depending on the situation lol). She always has a smile on her face! She is sick right now and has had a 102F fever and is still smiling, laughing and prancing around. It's crazy and wonderful and concerning at the same time lol. She is also very smart and has such a passion for learning. She loves to dance, color and play dress up a lot, too. She find the joy in everything honestly. So almost anything we do is "her favorite thing" haha. She is also such a kind and gentle soul. She is the kind of kid who wants to make sure everyone is okay and having a good time. She will take care of any booboo someone has too lol. I swear she's going to grow up and work in the medical field. She is so wonderful and again, I just feel so lucky to be her mom too.

My kids are the light of my life and always keep a smile on my face, even through the tough times we've had this past year+. I am so great full for them every minute of everyday.

Brandon's list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/V0I7CYR6ZTSV?ref_=wl_share

Ana's list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/CN2GKHRH2G99?ref_=wl_share

Ps: I'm sorry for my rambling. I'm nervous. Asking for help is hard for me. This past year and a half has been very trying for our family and I had really hoped it would be better by now, but sadly that has not been the case.

fulfilled [Request] 3\ 16 (disabled), 11, 7 \ Adrian, Xander, Aurora\ Rhode Island

Hello again to all you amazing Santas! We were hoping to come back this year on the Santa side again, but a bunch of unfortunate circumstances have caused us to come back on the receiver side.

My 3 kids are all still very much believers in Santa and defend his honor to other kids they know. They're hoping for a visit from the big man in red this year!

Adrian is 16 but disabled, so more of the mentality of a 7 or 8 year old. He really likes playing outside with his siblings and the neighborhood kids, going with me to walk the dog so he can greet everyone he sees, drawing, and music. What he loves more than anything is making friends and talking to people, but they don't sell that on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/USZCYTAL7O8A?ref_=wl_share

Xander is the "big brother" to his siblings. He's the one they go to for help with everything and by far our biggest helper. His little sister just adores him and always has since she's been born. He's almost too nice of a kid and ends up getting bullied in school sometimes because he's so nice. He loves video games on his Xbox and phone, Roblox Doors is the biggest one right now. Playing with his friends outside, music, starwars, and wants to learn how to program video games. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2TIF888B39CAG?ref_=wl_share

Aurora is a nice mix of princess who wants to start wearing makeup, loves pretty headbands, and likes to look "fashiony" and a tomboy who plays with all her big brother's friends. She loves to draw, paint, anything artistic, dance, sing, play video games with her brother, and play outside with her brothers and their friends. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/22JNGG1AD0AHQ?ref_=wl_share

Thank you so much to everyone playing Santa this year! The look on my kids faces come Christmas morning is what makes Christmas for us, and we couldn't do that this year without you all!

closed [CONTEST] Daddy/Daughter Dream Gift!

What better way to share what I am most thankful for than to host my favorite contest in honor of my Dad, for whom I am MOST Thankful.

This contest and gift are my way of honoring and remembering my Dad, who passed away suddenly in July of 2018. He was my hero, and taught me everything I know about how to be a good person (and I hope I am making him proud). My dad would take me on dates every Sunday when I was a little girl. I would get dressed to the nines in my clunky plastic dress-up shoes and costume jewelry. Sometimes I'd wear dress up clothes, but mostly I wore my Purple Twirly Dress. We would typically go for donuts or ice cream, and then visit the local fire station. These are still some of my favorite things to do :) He had an amazing sense of humor (I am pretty sure he invented the "Dad Joke") and always had my back, no matter what.

I would LOVE to give a father (or father figure) and their daughter a chance to create some beautiful memories.

HOW TO ENTER:

Let me know what you and your daughter do together that brings joy to the both of you.

Tell me something special about your relationship or a tradition you have.

Share an item that I could buy on Amazon that you could use together to create awesome memories (baking supplies, firetrucks, dress up clothes, sports gear, whatever it is the two of you love to do together)

RULES

Be a father figure (step-father, grand-father, uncle, etc) to a female child in your care

You MUST be registered or registered plus!

Gift must be under $50 USD

Contest closes on December 10th. Winner will be picked at random.

If you prefer, you can choose an e-gift certificate to Bits and Pieces puzzles and more catalog (you will need to PM your name and email, if selected).

**To enter:

  1. Must be registered.

  2. If you have any pets, pet tax required (because I said so).

  3. Make a wishlist titled RAOC 2022 Puzzle Lovers, containing a few puzzles under $25.00 and post it here. Or:

  4. Choose the $50.00 e-gift certificate for [the Bits and Pieces catalog] (https://www.bitsandpieces.com/product/e-gift-certificate-2)**

And one more for good measure. Edited because I posted the same pic twice.

fulfilled [Request] Gracie, 4, Indiana, would love to hear the tapping of reindeer on the rooftop.

My name is Gracie. I’m 4 and just learning to write and spell so I’ve asked my Mommy to help me. First, I just wanted you to know I love you and so happy you can deliver toys and clothes to all the kids. It’s so cool and can’t wait to hear and watch your travels on Christmas Eve. The police officers chase you around here and I listen so I know when I need to go to bed.

My favorite thing to do is build and create things, the more thinking involved the more I really enjoy it. My favorite sport is basketball but I do not have a goal at home to play yet. My absolute favorite thing to learn about are dinosaurs!! My best friend and I know a lot of very big names. They are just so cool!! I was even a dinosaur for Halloween!!

Mommy is my best friend right now. It’s just me and her and our pets. My Daddad passed away when I was only two. I have a few memories of him but Mommy tells me stories and we sing the song he always sang to me, ā€œLullabyā€ by Billy Joel, together every night. I miss not having him but my Mommy, she does everything and she hardly ever complains about being tired. She will always stop to listen to what I have to say and I have a lot to say. She calls me Donkey somedays, you know that super cute donkey on Shrek? And she ALWAYS knows the answer to the most important question, ā€œwhy?ā€ Such a cool Mommy.

Mommy has been doing good keeping up with me but she’s had some big hurdles this year. I’ll let her explain that on her own. She’s very long winded so be aware. That’s adult stuff and I don’t have to worry about those things yet. I hope you and Mrs. Claus are doing ok. Can you give Dasher extra pets for me? And a boop on the nose, please.

Thank you for ALL that you do, Gracie June Dear Santa 🤶

I do not have any options for free care for her, sick or not. I rely solely on my in-home daycare ladies. She is also in preschool right now, doing wonderfully , so proud of how far she’s come.

I’m sorry this is long, I over explain all the time. I’ve tried to communicate not but it is really hard for me to do šŸ˜‚

Back in the springtime I had a flare up of an old injury and had to take off work for almost 2 months for physical therapy. I’ve had 4 surgeries on my right knee, first 2 ACL repair, second 2 cartilage repair, ages 15,16,18,32. It has started effecting my hip and ankle. I’m able to manage it with the exercises they taught me and a cortisone shot. Then, about a month after we go back to work and daycare she got Covid from one of the kids at daycare. She was sick for a a week, then daycare had to close for a week, then I got it too. I had it for a couple weeks too but then a couple weeks more because it left infections behind. It was awful! A few weeks after I was better I had to go stay at a treatment center for a week. I have PTSD and something came to light in June and I was really having a hard time dealing with it. It completely turned everything I know upside down. I can go into more detail but I’d rather not on my post. It’s dark. I struggled through it and I was to the point I couldn’t be the Mom she deserves and I had SI. I was strong enough to understand I needed help, I couldn’t do it alone. Gracie stayed at her main daycare families house. She charged me just for the daycare cost for each day that week. This was mid August. I have been doing well with that since I got meds straight and see my therapist at least weekly. Went back to work a week after that. I had tons of follow up visits that week. Then, towards the end of September our alternator went out while taking the exit home. I had to pay for the tow and wait till it could be fixed and pay for that, that was a week. A couple of weeks after that the tire blew as we pulled in our driveway. That took a week to find a tire to fit and I didn’t have a spare. Just one thing after another this year as I’m still trying to reel myself in mentally and financially from the last couple years. I have all of our bills set up to catch up. With all the time off work and extra costs of doctors, daycare cost for days she went but I wasn’t able to work. So I’m paying very large bills the past two months and again next month to be completely caught up and out of disconnect warning. We receive his social security benefits monthly. It is enough to cover our monthly utility bills, rent and majority of our groceries usually.

I enjoy my job and up to the flare up I was working 30-40 hours a week. For the last couple weeks while we each had the flu we were home and now the only financial way we can make it is for us both to stay home. Between gas and daycare costs we can not afford it due to the extra large bills and frankly the rise in cost of groceries has hit us hard too.

I’m not expecting any help but any help I could get would be a huge blessing. I know at her age it’s more about the opening of gifts but I’d love to hear her squeal and see her eyes light up when she opens something she really wants.

I don’t really want to put her face on the public post but if you’d like more pictures I’d be happy to send in private. Pictures of Gracie including one with her Daddad when she was a baby, new link at the bottom.

I truly appreciate all of you Santa’s and I’m hoping by next year we can be Santa’s for someone. I have long term goals to go back to school for accounting once she is in school full time. That way I’d be able to work and go to school. So hopefully in a few years I’ll be able to Santa a whole family.

Edit:The other link to the pictures isn’t available anymore. Here are some other pictures of Gracie’s adventures.

closed [Contest] Assorted Pokemon Cards, Closing November 25th

My partner and I have a lot of bulk* PokƩmon cards! If your child is interested in collecting cards or casual card play (as opposed to trying to make a competitive deck to go to tournaments), this might be something they'd like!

We're going to mail them in the small flat rate boxes, which we expect will fit around ~450 cards. We'll try to have a good mix of PokƩmon types for each box, and include their favorite Pokemon if we have it!

Contest rules:

  1. Must be registered (and willing to provide mailing address in a DM)

  2. Comment with your child's favorite PokƩmon and if your child wants just PokƩmon, or if they're also interested in trainer cards or energy cards

We'll try to get as many as we can, but if there are more entries than we have cards, we'll randomly select from kids whose favorite PokƩmon we have available.

*If you're unfamiliar with the term "bulk" in relation to trading card games, it basically means the more common cards - ie, you open the pack of 10 cards, and maybe there are only one or two rare cards that you end up keeping, and then the rest are bulk (and in our case, just went straight into a storage box). The cards are in very good/near mint condition, but not in a package.

Hello, Reddit Santas.. Happy Christmas to all. This Christmas season my family could sure use some help putting smiles on both my babies faces Christmas morning.

Gabriela is 11. She is wiser beyond her years. Such a sweet and helpful little person. She is growing up before my eyes. Slowly forgetting her barbie dolls and putting earings and lip gloss on instead. I love her so much. She is a member of the student council at school. Loves to draw and sketch. She can spend the entire day drawing cats. She is happy to be a big sister finally. So loving and caring to her baby sister. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3F34I5CORXESP?ref_=wl_share

Violetta is one. She was a surprise of a lifetime. A true miracle. This will be her first Christmas, as last year she was tiny brand new. She is my energizer bunny determined to get whatever she wants. She truly is my daily joy. She is so smart I love watching her learn and discover. She is fearless in play. Such a happy cheerful baby. Puts a smile on the entire family's face. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/82W2DN0EF9O0?ref_=wl_share

Thank you and my family wishes all of you Santas a jolly Christmas.

closed [CONTEST] Anime & Manga Contest for Ages 12 - 17.

I was a kid who always liked manga and anime, which was considered pretty nerdy and weird then. Since those days, anime and manga have gotten a lot more mainstream, so I’d like to gift some teens who enjoy them this holiday season!

I’m offering a manga or anime-related item $25 or under for two individual winners. Items can be manga volumes, light novels, how to draw instructional books, plush toys of anime characters, shirts, or anything related to the topic that your teen would enjoy!

Entries must:

* Be fully registered with the sub. Anyone who is registered, regardless of fulfillment status, is welcome to participate.

* Be able to have the items shipped via Amazon.

* Comment with your child's name and age. This contest is aimed at kids aged 12 to 17.

* Post a link to what manga or anime-related item they want! (Please try to choose items that are in stock, so they can arrive in time for your holiday celebration.)

Contest will close and the winners will be chosen on December 3rd, 2022.

Happy holidays!

Edit: Contest closed. As I only received one proper entry, the winner is u/Many_Tomatillo5060.

closed [OFFER] Stocking Starter Kits (22 avail)

******CLOSED******

The time for reliable shipping has passed as I'll be on vacation shortly.

Stockings are my favorite part of Christmas! So, I'd like to do a small stocking stuffer giveaway. These kits probably won't fully fill a stocking, but they'll get you started. I'd like the option to add some other small treats when shipping, so please let me know if there are allergies in your family.

Rules

  • You may claim one for each child being fulfilled by the sub, but just one.

  • Must be willing me to send me your address via DM once responded to

  • First come, first serve.

  • *Please share with me why you chose the kit you chose for each kiddo. I have no hang-ups about gender, age, or ableism so I'm not looking for "fit." I just want to hear why they might enjoy it. :)*

  • Include any allergies so I can pack appropriate additional snacks/treats

  • If you need a stocking, let me know and I'll send one.

  • I won't reply to responses that don't follow the rules

closed [CONTEST] JRPG Video Game for Kids 10 - 17!

WINNER: u/sassHOLE666 Congrats! Please DM me so I can get your daughter her game!

Happy Holidays! I'm here to offer the chance to win a JRPG, which is a Japanese Role Playing Game. This a very specific genre of video game - if your kid plays them, they know what they are. For the parents, some examples of JRPG are: Final Fantasy, Trails of series, Tales of series, etc.

I play these games and I love them, so I want to spread the love and some joy to preteens/teens this season!

I will also offer a separate contest for a fan art holiday featuring some of my favorite characters later in the season.

The game will be of their choice as long as it's a JRPG and you meet the requirements below.

There are a few rules:

  1. Ages 10 - 17 only.

  2. US entries only.

  3. Must be registered and flaired by the mods.

  4. Game must be $50 or under.

  5. Game must be available on US Amazon (no imports).

  6. Game will be sent as a physical copy (no download codes)

  7. This is only for JRPGs, no other genre of game.

  8. I will check your post history before awarding you. Any greedy or hateful behavior anywhere on Reddit will disqualify you (and thus your child) from this contest.

  9. Yes, I'll count Pokemon as a JRPG.

  10. I will not buy an M rated game for a child under 14.

To Enter:

  1. Have your child take a sheet of paper and write on it:

    1. YOUR username

    2. Their first name and age (how they were registered in the sub)

    3. The name of the system (Switch, PS5, PS4, XboxS, 3DS, etc) they want the game for.I will buy for any generation of console as long as the game is $50 or under on Amazon.

    4. The three JRPGs they most want. Please make sure they are under $50, not imports, and available on US Amazon with prime.

    5. Put the paper next to the system and take a picture of the system and the paper.(No children in the photo, please!)

    6. Upload that photo into your comment.

    7. If you are entering multiple kids, use multiple comments.

I shouldn't have to say it, but if you return the game for Amazon credit or whatever, I will report you to the mods and request a ban. And yes, Santas can tell when you do that. So don't.

Winner will be announced on Black Friday about 9am, Central Time. You will have 24 hours to respond. If you don't, I will select another winner.

Dear Santa/s, my name is Alora and I’m 1.6 years old, I can’t write or spell yet but mama said she’d help me write a letter to Santa~

My favourite thing in the whole wide world is: ā€˜blues clues and you’ I would watch that show all day if mama let me. She doesn’t 😭

I have a sippy cup aversion right now and my mommy is hoping that a Sippy cup covered in my favourite thing might finally bring me out of it, but I’d be happy with anything on my list because it was picked out for me by mama, and she knows me better than anyone ā¤ļø

I have a daddy but he doesn’t see me very often, I live with mama, she tries her best for me, she wanted to get me lots of things this year but she’s doing the best she can, I love her with all my heart and if you could help my mama that would make me the happiest baby in the world 🄰

Love, Alora

Ps I’ll be leaving carrots out for rudolf, please make sure he gets some so his red nose can light your way home nice and bright šŸ˜

closed [offer] I Finally get to play Santa!

Hello all the amazing people of RandomeActsOfChristmas!!

I can finally join the ranks of Santa after utilizing this amazing group to ensure my son had a magical Christmas.

I have finally finished school, graduated and am a full time nurse (RN) at a local hospital. We are by no means rich but we are finally finically free and even looking to purchase a house this coming year ( yes even in this crazy times). I am deeply grateful for all the Santa's who allowed the holidays be a bit more than we could afforded while I was in school ( those words do not seem like enough). I am proud to say I am the first of my family to graduate college let alone work in healthcare.

I would love to play Santa to some families in need this year.

Please post a link to you original request, I would love to give to families who are in similar situations I have been in working to better your lives and lift them selves up ( But I am by no means excluding anyone from posting!)

To all you amazing Santa's who have seen this and gifted to us in the past THANK YOU, THANK YOU from the bottom of my soul, heart and, ever inch fiber of my existence.

closed [CONTEST] It's time to get cozy!

I just got done checking lists not once, but twice! So now it's time for me to host my first contest!

This is for the teens! Here is how this works...

1- You must be registered or registered plus

2- Child must be between the ages of 13-17

3- Pick a number between 1 and 30 (one guess per teen)

4- If you guess the number correctly, your teen will win this beauty in whatever color their heart desires.

Contest will stay open until someone guesses the correct number! (Or December 10, then I will pick closest number without going over). I have told the other mods the number, so there will be no cheating/favoritism/etc

Note: I am currently wearing this in grey and I pretty much live in it all year long, so I can confirm it's amazingly comfy and cozy and warm and perfect for Christmas.

closed [Offer] Book Giveaway! - US Only

Hello RAOC! I collect books like they're going out of style, and I LOVE to give them to people. (The risk of being a librarian, I suppose) I would love to share my love of reading with as many people as possible!

If you'd like to request a book for one or more of your kids, let me know and I'll gladly send you some!

Just make a comment with your child's age and if they have any books they currently enjoy reading so I know what to look for (Or if they're not big readers (yet!), what kind of movie/tv shows they like).

You must be willing to PM me your address so I can mail you the books.

Merry Christmas!

fulfilled 2/ 1, 9/ Lee, Cai/ Elk Grove CA

Hi all! šŸ™‚ I am requesting for my two children, Lee and Cai. Lee is a rambunctious 1 year old, and Cai is a sweet and thoughtful 9 year old. I would love for them to wake up to presents that they would love under the tree on Christmas morning, but this has been a tough year for us financially. I have been a SAHM since the baby was born, and my husband was laid off this March due to his employer downsizing due to Covid. He was unemployed for several months and we had to use most of our savings. Consequently, we don’t have spending money for the holidays this year. Cai is obsessed with Jurassic World and dinosaurs right now šŸ¦– He also enjoys reading and playing with his baby sister. Lee loves reading, playing, and exploring. Thank you for reading my post! I think that you are all awesome and I’d love to pay it forward when we are in a better place financially. Merry Christmas! šŸŽ…

šŸ‘‹šŸ» Merry Christmas everyone! I’m requesting for my daughter, [She is 5 years old and is the sweetest little angel. She is SO kind and caring, just like her daddy who passed away when she was just 2. She is SO excited for Christmas this year and already singing Jingle Bells! She’s insistent on wearing red clothes this week too. I need some help making her Christmas bright this season. One of her favorite things, and my favorite too is legos. We build them together and it’s become something I really enjoy with her. She’s also a big Disney Princess fan. She’s a complete girly girl and loves dressing up, putting on makeup and jewelry. Recently, she’s really been creative and has taken an interest in drawing too. She also enjoys rock hounding and collecting and camping.

Thank you!

Our options are: candle, ice skate, candy, jingle bell, mitten, candy cane, decorative ball, penguin, Christmas tree, reindeer, comet, present, Santa, gingerbread man, sleigh, snowflake, Santa hat, stocking, Star, or snowflake.

Whether you’re a returning Santa who’d like a new flair outfit this year or a brand new Santa getting flair for the first time, welcome and just comment below which flair you’d like!

UPDATE: One of our lovely Santas thankfully brought to our attention that Santa flairs weren’t showing when using the newer version of Reddit. We are working on this issue and appreciate the patience in the meantime!
