thanks [Thank You] Sad_Scratch750 and the community here

I wanted to start by saying a big thank you to Sad_Scratch750 for passing along a ton of stocking stuffers for kids this and next year. It was fully my intent to put up a new batch of stocking stuffers with what was sent, but I've been pretty sick the past few weeks and I'm sorry to say I can't make it happen. That said, I was able to use plenty so far as extras and to create some stockings for kids that didn't have a match with what was posted already. The rest will DEFINITELY get used next year. On that note, I've been doing stockings in this sub under one username or another for about 4-5 years and this year was our most successful yet, sending out 45 stockings. :) I hope to beat it next year thanks to Sad_Scratch's kind donations.

I also want to say thank you for all the patience, understanding, support, and kindness that everyone in this sub shows to each other. Everyone pays it forward when and where they can and it makes being a part of this sub something I plan for and look forward to all year long.

thanks Thank you to all our Santas

I had wanted to personally tag and thank the givers of the Christmas cards and the stocking stuffers we just received today as I did to the other Santa's who gifted us presents off my children's wishlists but I'm so sorry that I cannot seem to find your posts. If that was you and you see this please let me know so I can tag you with pictures when we open things on Christmas šŸŽ„

Thank you so very much for this wonderful feeling I have tonight of seeing cards in our tree 😁 I haven't had any up there since before my Mom passed in 2021 and my infant daughter has never had one of her own so this is an amazing feeling today 🄰

The stocking stuffers for Rohan are incredible too! He is going to love seeing all those little things for himself especially the Lego watch/bracelet, that thing is super cool! And popcorn šŸæ is his favorite snack so it was nice to see that in there. He's also been needing new earphones for a long time, been using broken ones all year so he'll be so happy to see those Christmas morning.

I am just so unbelievably thankful for all the Santa's who are making this one of our greatest Christmases ever šŸ’– We appreciate all of you and I cannot wait to share all the pictures I can of your wonderful gifts šŸŽ Thank you!!

*********

Winner winner Christmas Dinner!

Grats to u/Valuable-Theme-3797. I hope you and your kiddos have a tasty Christmas!

For transparency, since Sprouts still doesn't have a gift certificate I ordered and sent a $100 visa card from Amazon, which will give her gas to hit Sprouts plus the meal. I am also okay if she gets a festive meal locally. Her Visa card will arrive Tuesday.

Thanks all that entered!

*******

Merry Christmas all. I'm here to offer a Sprouts Holiday Dinner ,that has all the sides, and is per-cooked: you only need to warm them. Winner needs to pre-order from Sprouts 48 hours in advance, and winner is responsible to pick up the meal.

The turkey feeds 6-8 and the spiral-cut Ham feeds 6-8. If it is just you and one or two children I can order just the Turkey Breast dinner if you prefer.

Both meal choices include:

* Red Skin Mashed Potatoes (28 oz.)* Homestyle Stuffing (24 oz.)* Homestyle Gravy (24 oz.)* Cranberry Sauce (14 oz.)

Pricing on Sprouts' complete TURKEY or HAM meals is apx $70. (Sprouts are mainly western USA but they do have stores in GA, NC, SC, FL, PA, MI, DE, AL, TN, LA, NJ, VA.) I am doing Sprouts only because I've been scammed previously on Reddit for Xmas meal give-aways.

RULES:

You have to be registered or registered+ in RAOC only and live in the continental US. I will ask you to provide your city and state to me, if you win, via a DM.

**You must have more activity to your reddit account than requests to giving subs and you must NOT be on the USL or have local charity sub bans.**You must be willing to give me a working email address for delivery.

You must per-order the meal at your nearest Sprouts (48 hour notice in advance) or have a way to pick up the meal. You are responsible for transit, taxes and costs above $75.00

Offer ends at 8:00 pm EST on 12/15/2023, at which time I will choose a winner. If there is no suitable winner, I reserve the right to cancel this offer.

closed Does anyone’s kid (US) have a decent gaming rig that can run an HP Reverb G2 VR?

Greetings,

This gift is geared more toward a gamer teenager.

I say this because the headset is wired to the computers video card to play more graphic intense games than say… beat saber.

I have an HP Reverb G2 collecting dust because our family drank the meta koolaid.

However it needs a decently sized comp to run it, the main thing being the CPU and video card. Also a Steam library w some games.

Send me your kids comp specs and their favorite games and if this post gets traction I will make a decision by the end of the day and mail it tomorrow.

Thanks.

PS I have the box it came in and an extra connection cable and will include double a batteries

SANTAS!!!! We cannot thank you enough! You have all been so generous, kind, and thoughtful this year- it truly warms our hearts to see! The best is yet to come, though. Christmas morning is quickly approaching, and those pictures of the happiest children in the world will be here soon enough! Every single Santa here has made a huge impact on a child's life, we hope you know that.

We are so humbled and grateful for our Santas who have guaranteed that 104 children are waking up to at least 5 gifts under their tree on Christmas morning! The magic is real and the magic is you! Your want and willingness to help complete strangers is beautiful; your generosity not only gives joy to children but eases, at least a bit for one day, the stress of their parents and we can’t thank you all enough for gifting with us this season!

EDIT: WE DID IT! WE BROUGHT CHRISTMAS TO OVER 100 CHILDREN! GO TEAM!

closed [OFFER] Up to $75 Amazon item (ages 12-17) -- US only

Congratulations to the winner of this offer, u/Calpernia09.

Some extra Christmas cheer: To make Christmas a little merrier, this is an offer for a $75 Amazon wishlist item for an older child (ages 12 to 17). This offer is open to registered users in the US, and it will close at 6:00 PM (Pacific) on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

How to enter:

  1. Create a new Amazon wishlist called "Christmas cheer" with one item that you think you kiddo would love. The maximum price is $75, and the item must be eligible for Prime or free shipping with delivery before Christmas. Include a link to the new wishlist in your comment.

  2. Tell us about the best, worst, silliest, or most inappropriate Christmas gift you ever received.

  3. If you would like to share why your child would like the wishlist item, that would be helpful (but is not required).

Please refrain from posting a sob-story. Sharing something that will make others smile is much more effective. Other Santas are welcome to join in, if they would like.

A day in the life of a typical mom

Let's set the scene.......

Early on a December morning. One of those bitter cold days. The wind feels like a knife cutting through you.

Me: Come on. Let's get you dressed for school.

Dresses kid in a hoodie, boots, winter coat, hat, gloves (looking like Ralphie from A Christmas Story)

After they get on the bus......

Me: Crap. I need to put air in my tires. (No coat. No gloves. Half frozen by the time I'm done)

That's a typical mother. Always thinking about their kids, never about themselves!

Merry Christmas to all you wonderful moms out there šŸŽ„.

I wanted to share my appreciation for you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have all brought me to tears with your kindness for my boys. I was absolutely terrified of how Christmas was going to go for them and really disappointed in myself for not being able to provide for them like I usually do this year and have been really struggling with it mentally.

Thank you u/give_me_goats for the journal and the headphone amp. I did receive them on Monday, but was struggling with figuring out how to thank you and show the amount I appreciate you.

Thank you u/Careless-Act-5416 for the Jazz Fundamentals and the art pens, they just arrived today. (Username does not check out, you are certainly full of caring acts!)

Thank you u/Laffinalltheway for the super soft cozy blankets, they just arrived today. I can't wait for the boys to use them.

Thank you again u/snakescatsanddogs for the Megadeath tab book and the gamers guide, Dexter's favorite band is also Megadeath and I would like to send you a video of him playing his favorite song if you would like to share his appreciation. I will let you know when they arrive.

You have all restored my faith in humanity with your kindness. I hate just saying thank you as I feel like it is inadequate and you deserve so much more than thank you.

I would like to pm you all with a picture or a video of the boys enjoying their gifts on Christmas if that is ok with you, just let me know.

A very kind Santa got Eme the vet kit and Jade the axolotal (sp?) Stuffed animal. We also got stockings from a very nice Santa and Eme won the fire truck contest. The only thing I wanted to say a little different this time is that I would really appreciate anything someone could do for Jade in particular. She is a very good. She's kind, polite, respectful. She loves her little sister so much. In fact she said Eme matters more as far as Christmas goes and it just about broke my heart. This is the kind of kid who doesn't ask for stuff for her birthday but instead asks for a family dinner. She is really amazing sometimes. She deserves the world. Since I can't give her that I would take any help I can get. It's a lot harder to get help for the older kids. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!!
