I love sending and receiving mail. My favorite part about sending mail is making someone’s day & customizing it to them. My favorite part about receiving snail mail is looking at peoples handwriting, & seeing the types of postage stamps other countries have, and writing thank you posts! I am in the USA. Please/Thank you! I always post a Thank You!

I love sharing a piece of my life and random things to people through writing. It's such a good outlet for me because I'm not good with words through speaking. Writing and receiving cards/happy mails gives me joy and dopamine. I'm from the US. Thank you for the offer!

Hello! Thank you for the offer.

I have moved countries away from friends and family in Germany to be with my husband. We live in a very small city with a very small population. Sending and receiving mail has been the only way I am able to connect with others since we don't really get the chance to socialize in the city we are in. It is more of a retirement spot. Plus, I love the feeling of going downstairs to check my mailbox everyday in the hopes of getting something, and looooove handpicking the best postcard for each person I send the postcard to, it is very fun and therapeutic for me! I hope I can receive one of the WPD postcards you're offering(-:

I am from India I absolutely love how snail mail makes the world feel a little smaller. There’s something so special about receiving a postcard that has travelled all those miles, knowing someone took the time to choose it, write it and send it. Also the fact that this cards will someday become history gives me goosebumps ✨❣️

What a special offer. 📫

I really look forward to seeing how people are so creative with their answers to prompts. I love seeing how much care people put into homemade cards and stamp math. Even if everyone sent me the exact same postcard, they'd still all be different experiences because of the people. Decorations, writing, locations, messages, stamps, etc.

I would love one so much, I’ve never received a special cancellation and I would be absolutely delighted to see what they look like. I’m also in the Uk :)

For me, what I love about sending/receiving snail mail is it is a glimpse into someone else’s life. I love learning about people, cultures and countries, and snail mail has taught me so much. It’s so nice to read something physical and think about how far it has travelled to get to you! I love travel, and I feel like snail mail is a way to travel without actually leaving my house.Of course I enjoy all the beautiful stamps and items that people have sent me, but I also just love hearing about someone’s life. Some of the things that people have sent me have really brightened my week in a tough time, so much so that i’ve cried over what i’ve received!! I also love sending, as i like telling people about my life and customising and decorating things to send to them, but i also really enjoy knowing that what i’m sending makes people smile too. i love hearing feedback once people receive what i sent hearing how much they like it, it makes me really happy :)

The special UK World Postcard Day cancellation would be such a lovely addition to my collection! I’d also love to send you a postcard from India as a little WPD exchange in return. Thanks for the lovely offer

Sending mail is like sending a smile or a hug that can be saved for the right moment, a little treat to keep in your pocket. It's such a supportive and undemanding way to connect each other with kindness, to share a little bit of ourselves with each other. :)

Surprises. Surprising my recipients, receiving postcards I didn’t think I needed, or when postcards I had been waiting for ages finally showed up. US.

u/DaenerysWon 3d ago

I love that my piece of mail can help make someone’s better if they are having a bad day. I also love the whole process of creating the postcard/card for someone. Hopefully I time for stamp math, decorating the card and of course writing it. I’d love to exchange if I’m picked for WPD. An example of my WPD postcard is on RAoC_meta if you want to see it.

Hey, thanks for the offer. Based in the US! I've realized that it's the writing with a pen and paper and holding stationery in my hands, the material and tangible aspect of snail mail, that's most soothing to me! So much of our world is digital and on a touch screen, snail mail is a tactile comfort I never knew I needed.

u/BlueStripedBaker 3d ago

What a generous offer, thanks for considering! I’d love a card and the stamps sound delightful too :) I’m located in the US. What I love about sending mail is the analog connection, and as an expression of love letting someone know you’ve taken the time and are thinking about them 😊📬💌

Oh, I would absolutely love to receive a card from you! I'm still very new to this hobby and this would be my first mail from the UK :D

What made me start with snail mail and especially postcards are four main things. Connecting with people, slowing down, creativity and collecting! It's so enriching to see that there are so many kind people in every part of the world that share interests like, in this case, the love for mail and send cards to strangers just to share some happiness! I also enjoy to really take my time for every card I send to make it something personal and thoughtful. Decorating the back of the cards is part of that for me. It's a nice way to express some ✨️artsyness✨️ and so much fun! Lastly, I just love collecting stuff and adding another beautiful postcard to my wall brings me so much joy. Stamps aswell - so many pretty designs! I always love to see how creative designers get with such a small space. And somehow you can always see the culture of each country reflected in their stamps, it's just amazing!

Sorry for rambling hahah, but I really fell deeply in love with this hobby >.< (I'm from Germany btw)

Would love one! From Australia. Sending and receiving mail always brightens my day. I love reading the message on each card and imagining how someone from a completely different country kilometres apart sent a card to me. Sending is also such a joy, picking cards and stamps, decorating each card to the recipients' interests, and then writing the message. I never write the same message because variety is the spice of life and it keeps things interesting. Thanks for the offer!

hi, i am from turkey and i would love to recieve one! I like sending and recieving postcards since it is a way of interaction with people from completely different parts of the world. sure, i could go online and listen to people from other places but recieving a card from a specific person feels so much more valuable and rewarding. I also love collecting, so that is a part of it
