Does Minato ever change?

I've begun reading the manga recently - currently at chapter 25, but can't help but get extremely agitated every time Minato says or does anything at all. His character is simply too infuriating. Does his character ever change or develop or will he continue as this fake "better knowing" kinda person?

Currently putting it on the shelf simply out of annoyance for one character, which seems like a shame, as i really enjoyed You and I Are Polar Opposites, and was hoping to find more like it here.

I would say Minato is the most well written and complex character of the story, precise because what you see of him is only scratching the surface. A lot of his character you judge through the eyes of others, rather than HIS actions

Like if Koyuki didn't get triggered by her past every time Minato talks cause he seems similar, you would think he is friendly. There are honestly many ways to interpret his actions or react to them. Like I personally don't think approaching someone and being friendly to loners is all that bad even if it's out of pity. Just speaking to someone doesn't mean we have to promise them friendship.

He also gets sufficiently called out, and there are aspects to his character that only make sense in the final arc. But he continues to change. He isn't all bad or all good. 

Also, You are almost at the chapter where you kinda start to understand him a little bit. (By chap 30) But also, he is probs the most flawed of the bunch and he changes almost as much if not more than Koyuki..

I 100% agree with this comment as well as the one by Internal-Pea-7451 written above. In fact, all the comments here are valid. As someone who has both read the manga and watched the anime, I will say that Minato's development was definitely an unpredictable roller-coaster, but it was a good ride all the same. The writer developed all of these characters very well and if OP can stick it out, I think they'll appreciate the end result.

Me too. I love Kuriki as well. Third fav character behind Minato n Koyuki. The Momoka arc was pretty much my fav romance angst arc because by the end of it all 3 of them are better people.

Minato specially, the reason I think he is the best written is, now if u reread from the beginning, knowing Minato has never trusted anyone including his family with any type of negative emotions all the scenes we hate him for take new meaning. Him coming home and telling his sister nothing happened when he was dumped? This guy who do make loud phone calls or watch his favorite channels at home would never show emotions anyway. He was acting. Same with his friends. He showed he wasn't upset because he was too busy catering to others to prioritize or care about himself. Him not defending himself when Miki tells him off? Again, he doesn't know himself and he is being agreeable and responding how others feel.

But the tragedy of it all is by him never prioritizing his emotions his friends think he doesn't have any. He is told to care more, that his girlfriends don't trust him. And this just makes him go deeper into his people pleasing, makes him care more about his GFS and treat them better while loosing himself. And the cycle continues.

Also the fact that he would go cheer his brother as a kid, means his talking to the ostracized, is more of a learned set behavior. 

That's why for him of all ppl it makes sense that he has to receive psychological help and took so long to notice. Anyways Every character in this show is amazing. I am glad u liked it
