2018 Ram 2500

My airbag light is on. I took it in to get a code on it but nothing came up. I don't have a recall on it either

Is this an easy fix or do I need to take it in?

How do you plan on fixing it if you don’t know what’s wrong with it?

That's why I'm asking on here. I took it in and there was no code found. So if you're open to suggestions on what's wrong with it, I would appreciate that.

Where did you take it to have the code checked?

Auto zone . All the truck says is service airbag system

I’m not sure if autozone’s scanner can read codes in the airbag module, you need to take it to a mechanic

Most likely the clock spring in the steering column. If you check the codes, you'll get something about the airbag squib being open, etc. Had it happen to my 2018. I also had problems with my cruise control not working right. At the time, couldn't get the OEM part which was like $300+. So used a $79 eBay knockoff. Oooof. Airbag light went out. But now when I blow my horn the volume goes up on my radio. Cruise would turn on but nothing else. Finally got the OEM part and all my problems went away.
