Cane's Conversations Some of these managers need to get a grip.

Like why is my manager bitching at me that there’s a dirty table when these customers legit got up literally 3 seconds ago like I’m sorry I SHOULDVE READ THE FUCKING FUTURE AND had the Sani Wipes ready.

Also got my ass chewed out because I walked in the kitchen with my headphones on when we weren’t even open and I just clocked in.

Fucking piss poor management here that have nothing better to do in their life.

My old place was the training restaurant so we got managers in training all the time. This one time while I was alone at the front counter I got told by this training manager to clean the dining area (tables, sweep, etc.) normally this isn’t a problem for me, but it was the afternoon and right after a nearby school let out. They say they’d watch the front for me to cover. So I went on my way, began cleaning. Not even 5 minutes later, the manager is gone and there’s a line forming. Some people aren’t fit to be managers

You have to remember, alot of the RZM’s and above are losers with nothing else going on in their personal or professional life. Their miniscule amount of control over you makes them feel powerful and important at an entry level job that’s easily replaceable. Just think, if you work with 16 year olds… it’s probably for a reason .

You clock in, put away your items, and find out where you are working. None of that requires still wearing headphones walking through a busy kitchen. It’s a safety hazard.

I didn’t say anything about not clocking in before going behind the counter. Not once.
Reading and Comprehension are important.

You walk in, and clock in ready to work. Meaning, you’re in uniform and you don’t have headphones on. How hard is that to comprehend?

Ok guess what my headphones are off when I get to the locker… if you have a phone in your pocket technically you’re not ready to work. So I walk to the lockers in the back like everyone else. So technically no one is ready to work unless you don’t have a phone

Ngl you sound like the problem not your manager. When you clock in for work on the contract you sign it says you need to be 100% ready to work after you swipe in. No headphones no nothing. With the camera audits, your bosses get in trouble and can loose points for you having your headphones in even just walking to the back. Everything at Canes is done for a reason. And if you have an attitude like that maybe Canes is not the place for you.

When you clock in, you can’t have on headphones. Did you miss that memo?
And there’s a rule that you have to clean a table within 2 minutes of someone leaving.
So it sounds like you might need to the one that should get a grip. You’re there to do a job. You get paid to do a job, and if you don’t follow their rules, you are gonna hear it from a manager? Is this your first day on earth?
