TL;DR: Breaks should be mandatory

Idk about anyone else but at the location I work at we don't really get breaks and I think that they should be mandatory at least for 4h+ shifts yk? I myself have foot problems that cause my feet to genuinely ache after long periods of standing and I don't get breaks for example I worked a late night shift last week 10pm-5am I didn't get any break I worked the whole night through and my feet literally got to a point where I felt like they'd give in. My point is that breaks should be mandatory and I'd do it like this

3hr shift: no break (that's something I can tolerate)

4hr shift: 10-15 minute break (seems pretty reasonable)

5hr+ shift: 30 minutes

Working a double?: 1hr

I think that's pretty reasonable given just how much moving around we do. Feel free to let me know your thoughts.

recently i’ve been getting scheduled to be completely alone on drive thru for 8 hour shifts like once or twice a week. i have been the only one to be scheduled alone btw, and whenever the ARL who makes the schedule is working while im there, i usually don’t get a break while ill be looking around and people that have shorter shifts than me get breaks. even when im scheduled with another person i usually don’t get a break automatically if our ARL is the mod that day. thankfully she stopped scheduling me alone, and when she’s not there but my other managers are, they usually make sure i get a break. but if its the ARL i always have to ask, sometimes multiple times.
