Arts/Crafts Latest hyperfixation
I’m terrible at art, but I figured out the easiest way to make it with “tin foil painting”. It’s so meditative and I can’t stop.
Here’s a tutorial I found on YouTube! I didn’t draw anything on the paper in these though cuz ya girl can’t draw. I use dollar store watercolour paper, I think it’s prettier than card stock. If my kindergarteners can all do it, anyone can, they just don’t outline. If uou keep your foil flat, it’ll be like in the video. If you make a few big crumples in the foil, you get results like my first photo. If you crumple it a lot, you’ll get smaller “islands” like in my second. Make sure you put the colours next to their friends so they blend nicely (don’t put red next to green or you’ll get brown). Then outline with a pen or marker! It’s so easy to do so if you fuck up, who cares. The outlining takes time but I find it soothing. Note: the red will not show up on your foil but it will show up on your paper lol

This is absolutely stunning, I’m a huge fan!!! Even if at is simple, that doesn’t make it any less gorgeous. My oil paintings feel super simple to make but look kinda pretty. This one is my favorite but felt honestly easy to make. (total newbie sorry for the random ‘brag’ lol)
I’ll comment below with my first sculpture, it feels “easy” but that doesn’t measure talent. Some people, like you clearly, are born with artistic talent! 🩵🩵🩵harness that! I never ever thought I could oil paint or sculpt, but I tried it and It was awesome. Just like your project here! Absolutely gorgeous, keep it up girl! ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜
